While I was in there, I decided to replace the AOS O-rings so: New intake manifold gaskets/hardware as well as new AOS seals... It was a great opportunity to inspect existing conditions under the IM. I actually found more evidence of the mouse condo and a few loose vacuum hose clamps. Lots-O-Cleaning occured on the engine bay these past couple of days.

BTW: Those pink cable harness clips are very hard to locate but I found a source - Bresco Vehicle Services, Meadow Lane Industrial Estate, 14, Gordon Rd, Loughborough LE11 1JP, United Kingdom, Part No. FIX54P. They come in a bag of 25.

All back together and running. She ran for about 25 minutes, going through two cooling fan cycles with no issues. I was hoping to take her out this morning but there's a monsoon outside.

Oh yeah, new front pads and rotors were installed last night...I think I put in about 30 hrs working on the car since Friday morning so this really has become a disease (obsession).

I know you're not going for making this car like your other one but this is looking pretty great anyway.

Cheers

Thanks. My goal is to make her 100% reliable while keeping the "as found" patina.

Have you ever found a source for the red omega clips? Those seem to be the ones that I can't locate.

I found this from another thread. I haven't ordered the red ones since my car doesn't use them, but here are the part numbers for the Omega clips.

The red ones should be available from your dealer for ~$1.70 each.

Plastic Clips from Porsche, Larger to Smaller:

black 321.971.847.B
yellow 321.971.847.A
clear 171.971.847.A
blue 113.142.261.A
red 811.971.848.B
green 999.651.168.40
gray 477.971.851
black 181.971.847

Firewall Zip Ties:
443.971.850.A

I included the source in my last post: Bresco Vehicle Services and about $8.00 for a bag of 25.

@Dmitry S. : It might have been you that I stole the list from for my archives but it was pointed out to me that the part number for the red clips, in particular, is not correct, and references a metal clip of some sort. I had some trouble tracking down a reliable picture at the time, but thought that I would pass on that feedback.

Regardless, it sounds like a reliable source has been identified.

Cheers

I just purchased a few bags of assorted Omega Clips, including these pink ones.
Screen shot from their website:

The ridiculousness continues: A spare tire mounted on the roof rack...

A little less absurd: I replaced the dash lights with a LED kit from 944Online (sorry for the fuzziness). Polarity matters!!

Wait until the lift kit is installed. I've got all the parts just putting out a few more important fires...

Any plans yet on how to make it a 944-4? Then you've got a safari/rally beast.

Looking great

It's funny you've mentioned that as I was just thinking about various 4X4 platforms that may be applicable to these cars.
