Hey Chris,
Yup, the lamp kind-of pops in although you're really not sure until you push it all the way...
Hope all is well on your end.

Another (very minor) progression update for today: Steve Manfre from 944Online generously sent me these - Thanks Bud!!
They look pretty neat on her...

Hi All,

First and foremost, I'd like to thank everyone who came along on this journey - whether actively contributing their input or simply watching as the progress unfolded.

I'm happy to announce that the Beastie has found a new home. Actually, the car is returning to a prior owner. Bailey found me through a friend and stated that this 83 was his very first car! How could I refuse? It was a pleasure to make his acquaintance, along with his friend Julian, and the transaction went off smoothly. I wish them well as she's a great car just waiting for more adventures.

My only regret is that I never got the chance to drive her to the Arctic Ocean. Maybe one of the other ones will take me there...

What a great outcome for a great car. Your planned adventure still sounds great and I hope for you that, indeed, you can make it happen in one of your other beasts.

Cheers

Thanks bud! Maybe we can get a group tour set up. The entire drive is along paved roads (some may be a bit bumpy) so not out of the question. Four guys in a BMW 2002 drove the route a few years ago with only an exhaust hanger issue.

Congrats on the sale. Its a pretty well spec'd car for a young guy to acquire. Now you got room for another one!

Thanks! I think I'll calm down of the purchasing for a while and try to finish up this new 84 and tighten things a bit on my other one. The Helen Meet is just around the corner so I've got some work ahead of me.
