Nathan,
yes come as a passenger/ spectator. Some of us doubt that you have a 911 at all, and others don't even believe you exist...

You know I like a nice loud exhaust. Make sure we hear it before you change it if its too loud.
PS: Its only too loud if you see pedestrians diving because they think someone is shooting at them!
Here's a short sound clip Mark, it's way louder in person LINK I'm not convinced with the tips, looks a bit bling/silly up close.

Nathan, it's easy to disprove the doubters, just take some digital pictures of your cars with todays newspaper or something, would be nice to see some new images of your cars as we only ever see the same old ones. Is the 930 still in bits?

Yeah, the 930 is in pieces, it just wasn't quick enough!
I will be taking the Carrera to work tommorow unless I don't feel up to it!
I have some in car video, not sure how to upload.
I have a brother called Diabolos

Picked the car up today, quick? Yep! Overwhelmed? No....ummm, no (ish).....
It goes like stink there is no mistake, the 4 speed box does'nt help matters! It's by far the quickest it's ever been, i'm not blown away though.
Oil temps are low, it pulls well up to 160mph or so, it just doesn't pin me to the seat the way i thought it would. It has potential but it doesn't have me riveted!
I think a pair of K27's with external wastegates, some more work with the exhaust system and then i'll have the beast i'm looking for.
It's how it is for now, i'll do the run to Le Mans and see how i get on, i have a dyno day next Saturday so we can have a look at what the chassis dyno nonsense spits out, will get my hands on an AX22 to log some real world acceleration which should be more telling.
Just glad to have the old bugger back in the garage, i've owned this car for a little over 5 years and it's been in numerous "Specialists" for over half that time, it's a good job it's just a hobby otherwise i'd be suicidal!!!!..........

Good on 'ya Jonathan! Congrats on getting to the end of the integration phase of your program. You've got her all mounted up, systems working, and running again. Now comes the fun part, testing and mods to trim her out and make her even more efficient. Its a slippery slope isn't it? I'm sure you'll find areas to optimize the performance to be more in-line with your thinking. The fact you stated the oil temps are low would lead me to believe that solvng that issue to get them into the normal range will probably loosen up some more HP and torque for you. Working on the timing and fuel maps you'll probably find some more and maybe some changes to the drive shafts if they're not at optimum angles due to the new installation might free up some more. I'm just rambling on here trying to give you some things to think about as even a race team will find things that optimize the package as purchased from the manufacturer, even one as good as Porsche.

Good luck with her, let us know how its going. Its been a great project. I'm impressed it gone done as quickly as it did (I know, you thought it took forever).

Looks like this year I'm going to miss LeSarthe. Knee surgery is going to keep me from travelling this year. Good thing its an annual event! Give us some reports and pics when you get home. Have a safe trip and watch out for the Gendarmes on the As. They only take Euros you know.

good stuff jon!..would be good for you to add a video of the beasty when you get a chance!!.
You will probably find it is quicker than you think because of the more modern way the 993 tt engine will deliver the power with less lag and more linear pull!.

Cheers for the kind words all, they are a tad premature though as it's out of action again! It's only boosting to 0.5bar, i've been at Northways all afternoon trying to get to the bottom of it, thought it was an intercooler hose but that didn't fix it, checked the actuators, checked numerous pipes and connections with no success. Taking it back there on Tuesday for him to strip the intercooler off and go through it in more depth, it could be a diverter valve or dodgy sensor somewhere else. I just hope it's simple, it ran great in one direction up the road, turned around and it was acting up in the other direction, sometimes 0.4bar and others 0.5, very strange! Hope it's ready for the weekend as i've booked the rolling road.

Mark, are you coming to the dyno day next Saturday? I won't bother with the VMax this time, i'll wait for another mini VMax with the porsche chaps, i couldn't go through the beams flat out anyway so it's a bit pointless

Jim, sorry to hear about you missing the 24hrs this year, hopefully next year mate. There is a long way to go with the car and the list is surely going to keep growing, i just want the damed thing back so i can enjoy it for a while! I'll send you some pics of the 24hrs carnage

Olli, i'm looking forward to the AX22 results too, it'll be a lot better when i get the 5 or 6 speed box in there, the gearing in these 4 speeds is LONG, i'll just keep improving it slowly.

Stu, you're probably right about it being quicker than i think, it really does fly, i don't know what i was expecting but i'll see what's what when i do some runs with the data logger. The mid range torque when it's boosting to 1.2bar is quite amazing, i'm sure it's really just me not being happy with it sounding like a tug boat, plus i really miss the wastegate dumping like it did with the 930 lump, it just sounded nasty before and now it's like a V8
