Drove the car home today. Not 100% done but everything works. It Drove really well. I took it near the redline once and it has a feroucious top end. Quite firm so I will investigate taller tires for the deep 6 fuchs to improve the ride a little for road trips. Fitted a set of 15 x 7 fuchs with 205 50 Dunlop Direzza Z2's ready for its first track day tomorrow.
Auto trimmer is booked for first week of December.

Lovely Dave especially the front shot. Looks like a different trim on passenger side of rear bumper? What's that, an experiment or optical illusion?

Garage looks stunning Dave. Great to see the car has finally made it home. Might have to head down to HD to see it in action tomorrow.

No, just an illusion I think. I went rub strip delete on bumpers and no rocker trim so things like the rear reflectors are just temporary stick ons for compliance until I can get something a bit better. I also specified factory bumper horns which are now quite heavy looking without associated rub strips beside. I think we need to work a bit on the back end, the silencer is very tight and pushing the rear panel around a bit not least it might cook the paint.
What the car needs now is body graphics like a black line around the bumpers and maybe a PORSCHE script. Without the extra adornments it can look a bit bland. Check out the photo's of Deans car and the rub strips do add some balance.

Yes I agree. Maybe some gaps at back rear bumper can be played with but I think some graphics will help as they take the eye say from that stuff and focus it elsewhere. Pin striping could achieve similar on rear bumper as rub strip. Little stuff that will be a lot of fun to lay with in your own time...

So today was a pretty good day. Car went very well and has good pace. Handling was lovely and neutral, the brakes need a good shove but were there all day except the last session. Minor problem with the left front pads going right down to the steel after just 6 x 15 minute sessions. Maybe not unusual for road pads except the right pads were only half worn. There is no brake pull or any other telling symptoms while driving so that needs a bit of a look.
Anyway, it got a good blasting of bugs and rubber.
Steve, the car's builder, took it out for the last session and laid down a few 1.21's on road rubber and cooked brakes. Plenty of potential there but it was lovely as it is.
