Update. Been a while.
The T is moving along, under its own steam around the yard at least.
We have a target date of mid September to get it on the road for an annual track tour.
It will be a little incomplete, especially the interior.
I'm dragging the chain a little on that. The embossing plate is one of those jobs that didn't look very hard but has turned out to be a real chore. I managed to source 4 pieces of 20mm plate , enough to make up the slab of 1100 x 500 which is roughly door panel size but getting my CNC guys on to it is proving a bit slow. Plan B has emerged where we won't machine out thousands of little posts due to the massive amount of machine time that it will take with a tiny cutter. An alternative idea which is much quicker is to drill the thousands of holes in the plate and make thousands of 3mm pins from stainless steel bar parted off in a CNC lathe. Then it will be me with a small hammer tapping the pins into the holes to make it essentially the same as it was intended. Phew. I started so I'll finish......I hope.
So, the trim shop has done the head lining and a few pillar trims and are waiting for me to drop off a hide to do as much as possible. I realised that they can't read my mind so had better get the specification for the trim down on paper so that we all know what's supposd to be achieved.

Those drawings would look great framed, laminated or something similar when you're done Dave. Good to see an update.

I'll bet your trim shop has never received such nice instructions. That's impressive!

Yeah, it's all go with the oatmeal. The trim shop has it ordered and ready to start making. Paid them a visit today to go over the interior plan and make sure we are all on the same page.

Update;
Car is mostly complete. The guys fired it up for me and it sounds good, just headers for now, exhaust still to come. We have a revised plan to make sure we hit the track tour deadline. The car has to be complied for the road which involves various experts signing off the modifications so we decided to just get an interior in there and not rush the trim guys. The Black trim doesn't look half bad. When the track tour is done they can have the car for as long as they want and by then I should have the embossed leather sorted. Probably a wise move delaying the final fitout as the shake down period will have greasy guys in and out of it quite a bit.
