My first 911 was an '85. I'll take her!

Many owners have no emotional attachment to the car. It was a prop in their quest to get laid, and nothing more.

At last we have straightened and reinforced rear trailing arms; now we just need to fit a pair of new wheel bearings, mask, primer, paint and fit.

Yup, that's me alright, piloting my 993RSCS up Longleat Speed Hillclimb and setting a new Porsche record for the hill. Powered by the 460hp prototype 9m 4.0 litre race engine, stock RS gearbox, stock RS suspension (!), 9m AP 6 pot 343mm front brake upgrade. The chatter noise over the top of the hill is the LSD working the inside wheel on lift-off turn-in and definitely not a wastegate!

Thanks for finding that for me Amber ! The number is the one that was given to the car when it was imported to Ireland circa 1983 or 1985. ZT is the letters for County Cork in 1935 and it got 911 as there would not have been 911 new cars registered that year.

What did you do with the other 910 cars Dave? Are they all hidden in fields and barns around Co Cork as well?

Engine time again.
The white residue encrusted onto the plastic throttle stacks was removed by gently scraping it with the blade of a small blunt screwdriver; a polish with WD40 and we were good to go. Mark fitted the clean intakes, the MFI pump and fuel lines, so now we are only waiting on the drive pulleys and belt for the MFI pump and a set of cleaned injectors. More on the injectors later.
