No harm done. I like both turbo and non-turbo in the older 911's. I could have bought a newer one but you just can't beat the lines of the older 911's and they are great cars to personalize.

This board is informative, helpful, and quite entertaining (Iceman's new car thread is one of the best) and many including myself appreciate all the help we can get.

Whatever shape your 911 takes it's ability to put a smile on the face of it's driver is universal.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I really haven't had time to stay on top of it but I do have some photos of what's happening. The oil tank arrived and was installed yesterday with the engine which has 30,000 original miles. Compression on the new motor is 125 across the board. Leakdown was good. 9% on one and 2-5% on the rest (can't remember the order right now). This was done before I purchased the motor.

You can see the nice new clean oil line on the engine/ (dirty tranny) shot which will run to the oil tank. A new rear fuel pump was installed with relay and the 28 tube brass fender oil cooler should be today. I removed the air conditioning yesterday since it is a Targa and hot days here are more than welcome. Don't need it and it's a nice clean look.

Most of these shots were taken yesterday and I did get to help with the engine install. I didn't get a chance to do the cleanup I wanted while the car was up, another rennlist member has his C4 in there anxiously waiting (rightly so) for an engine rebuild after mine so I but will come back to get it done.

Most of all, I hope it starts!

She's home. Mechanic drove it home for me so I haven't even driven it yet. Waiting for the snow to go away. Waiting impatiently.

Here's the tail installed last night. Have to tweek the alignment a bit more but not bad so far. Taillight black trim and complete reflector painted as well. I drilled new holes and reinstalled the 911SC emblem instead of using the Turbo emblem. Sneaky!

I took it for a quick spin last night and tried to avoid the puddles and potholes. I know the weak link in this conversion is the 915 Tranny but I must say the car shifts the same and drives fine. The motor turns right over without having to fuss with it and runs excellent.

I did however couldn't resist the throttle and realized at that point there are no similarities between new and old. Very happy with the results so far guys.

Very stealthy upgrade! You need to dyno it and make some runs to share with us!

Will do! A few more things to do before I do that. I think for this year I'll look at the brake upgrade and wheels maybe. My rubber is new from last year but don't think it's adequate for what I have now(need to fill the fender). I've got some good info from Steve Weiner on the brakes and it's something I can do myself.

Nice work on your car BTW.
