calm down . . . who cares . . . really . . .

Are you happy with your car? Good. In the end that's all that matters.

Nah, don't be so sensitive. We all have our own points of view. All I wanted to do was open up the debate and see what everyone thinks. Most seem to love the 993, others seem to agree with me. I'd say that I probably sit on the fence. Love the rear/side views. Someone's posted a picture of their Guards 993, and poke my eye out if it doesn't look handsome. But, I still maintain the frontal appearance of the 933 is ugly.

I recall seeing a 993 turbo and a 930 at a recent show and shaking my head because the 993 looked... odd?

Enjoy your car.

Why are you still here? Are you "Mr thread-police" or something?

If this is 5 pages long people obviously feel it is worth the space.

I respectfully disagree. I love the 993 and think it, next to the earlier long nose cars, are the best looking 911s ever; I love the way the 993 looks and will have to go get another one someday....

Then the 993 came, a perfect, clean shape again, taking just the right amount of inspiration from the early 911s--windshield angle, hips, headlights, interior--while properly updating everything that has been hacked and band-aided through the prior 20 years.

The 993 design is the ideal end of the 911 line that started in 1964. You can quibble about certain bad angles, but Porsche was putting bad angles on the basic shape from the mid-70s on, and the 993 cleaned up most of those.
I have to agree with RallyJon. IMO, the 993 is the cleanest, most nicely integrated 911 design since the longnose, free of tacked on anything. The interior is a clean, simple yet modern design as well. Both are unlike anythnig else.

If Gordon Murray or Ross Brawn came on here and posted, they'd get the "STFU n00b" treatment too. Of course, they wouldn't post stupid stuff like this.
