Sometimes an ugly chick will rock your world far better than a hot chick. The ugly chicks are grateful and have had a lot more time to think about what they want to do . . .

Those who find ugly meaning in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault.
Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated. For these there is hope.
They are the elect to whom beautiful things mean only Beauty.
Art is at once surface and symbol.
Those who go beneath the surface do so at their own peril.
We can forgive a man for making a useful thing as long as he does not admire it. The only excuse for making a useless
thing is that one admires it intensely.
All art is quite useless.

LOL. so, last year mflinkenberg was thinking of getting a 993, and this year he thinks they are ugly...sounds like sour grapes to me..

What kind of maintenance/service costs can I expect around this sort of mileage? Money's not really a problem but I don't like surprises.

What's the life expectancy of a 993 TT engine and mechanicals?

Thanks

He said the front was kinda ugly . . . he didn't say that the whole car was ugly.

. . . They never should have dropped the raised lights and Ferry Porsche himself moaned at the change.
I actually think he has a point. Nonetheless, I would buy a well performing vehicle even if it was not entirely perfect. Actually, tons of people do all the time. Look at the Cayenne!

Some of you, and you know who you are, are taking this far too seriously. Why would you care even if it is a little ugly?

996s get bashed all the time on Rennlist and it doesn't bother me a bit. Why? Because I bought my car for me not for anyone else . . .

Jeez.

ole Oscar may have been a great artist, but he'd never cut it as a designer.
"Industry is the root of all ugliness."
yet, Ferry was a genius whose artistic sensibility (as revealed in the 356) is a fine case of "those who see any difference between soul & body have neither."

Saying that the 993 has the body of Heidi Klum and is the best rear end of all 911s is hardly the same as saying that the entire car is ugly. That is, of course, unless you both are not an *** man and are not "batting for the yankees"
