Hey, I know that car! He is a member of our local PCA group. I don't know what's up with the ride height in that picture as I've seen the car in person and it didn't look like that. Probably one of the cleanest cars I've seen.
To each his own on this issue. Someday I hope to collect one good example of each 911 era. Ever since seeing Jack's car I think I have to have an early RS clone. Almost bought an RS America. But fell for a 993 for lots of different reasons. I would like to have a 911 with the slightly more classic front fenders and headlights some day too. But I'll never say the 993 is ugly or looks like a scared rabbit. It is a great car. They all are.

Wow, someones lookin for attention, to each his own man, you don't like it? Don't own one. I think its a beautiful design that tastefully updated a classic, no easy feat.

But the basic lines of most 911's are so good that the occasional stone chip can't spoil the party.

I used to have a '97 993 - still love the lines. Of course, everyone knows the '84-'89 Carreras are the last of the "true" 911's (he says while stirring the pot). BTW - very nice car Grant!

Ugly............Yep, but the moose of a car kinda grows on you!! I once heard a 964 owner talk about the 993's 'jellymold' looks unkind, but maybe?. I think all these cars have a beauty and indeed an ugliness unique to each model. The 964 is without doubt fantastic but the bumpers knock it out of balance a little bit. The 32s are pretty perfect apart from their US impact bumpers. That is something that has to be taken into account, is that car design is answerable to legislation, no doubt the headlights on the 993 could've been a little higher but perhaps some awful EU drag co-efficient law prevented this. But have a look at Craigs red 993..........I mean, UGLY...........it really isn't the first word that springs to mind!!............Oprahs face indeed!! Ha ha!!
a biased view from a 993 owner!!

If they hadn't have raised the front bonnet(?) I think it would have been a better looking car. I hope they bring back the raised lights with the 998 but I doubt they'll go back to "less space" in the front.
