It's official. I'm busy getting weight out of the car, and the spec wing is getting painted and goes on next week. Who's in?

Getty Design builds a Spec996 wing that is basically a 55" cup car wing. It weighs a bit more than the cup wing, but costs less.

All 3.4 and 3.6 C2 996
JRZ RS non-remote canister, double adjustable shocks -- There is a specific Spec996 package
Tarrett front camber plates and rear monoball top mounts
GT3 front control arms, rear toe links, and sway bars
Tarrett drop links
Engine and transmission stock
X51 Engine not allowed
Semi-solid engine mounts allowed
LWFW allowed
Oil cooler and accusump allowed
X51 Oil pan allowed
Air intake stock
Exhaust manifold stock
Exhaust past manifold open
GT3 front bumper allowed
Year appropriate GT3 rear wing or Getty Spec996 wing allowed
Doors and hood must remain stock
No Carbon Fiber body parts or aero parts
18x8 18x10 wheels
BFG R1 245/285
Minimum wheel weights and maximum track width enforced
3.4l 2850lbs
3.6l 3040lbs

Attached is a copy of the Spec996 rules. I started my build in late December of last year and made three club races in '10. Like MGlobe I'll spend the winter with the sawzall and bolt cutter trying to lose weight.
