Pics of the parts! They look great, can't wait to see them on.
Also, I may have forgotten to mention, but I am also doing the GT4 Side Vent Grills, from the Radiator Grille Store. I had those on my GT4, they are great.
OK, Looking forward to seeing how well the Frog Venom spoiler fits and looks on your car. I did order new screws and clips for the FV spoiler instead of using the parts from the OEM spoiler. These are the part numbers.
The car is almost done! Just a few final things left today, I should be picking it up late in the day.
I think it looks great!! Can't really see it fully as it will be, with front end up on blocks, the Front Trunk and Hatch unlatched, and the Frog Venom Rear spoiler deployed. But these pics give a good preliminary indication.
I love the GT4 Front Bumper and Side Vents! I can't wait to see the Frog Venom Ducktail Spoiler with the Hatch closed, and down.
This build really feels like the best / my favorite things about the previous 4 (Albert Blue Cayman GTS 4.0, GT Silver / Red Boxster 25, GT Silver GT4 PDK, GT Silver / Red Spyder) all combined together into one car! Which is what I was shooting for, as this one will be the long term keeper with these cars completely going away.
More pics coming soon.
Next up - swapping to the HRE Wheels, later this week. And then next week getting the Kline Exhaust and OAPs installed, and the GT4 Rear Diffuser Kit from Suncoast (all OEM Parts). At that point the build will be pretty complete for now, maybe some more suspension work coming later.
Pete, this is looking great !! I have so many questions…
How did you handle the ducting for the third radiator?
Did you use the GT4 splitter support?
Did the FV rear spoiler require any work prior to painting?
How well does the FV spoiler fit on the OEM mounting base?
Did you use any 3M mounting tape on the back of the side scoops?
I got an email from Flat 6 Motorsport that my GT4 bumper kit has arrived and we are working out the logistics to get my car to them to have the parts filled in, painted and installed. So your information is going to be very valuable.
I love the Frog Venom Ducktail Spoiler. It looks OEM to me. Looks like a Cayman version of the Spyder Ducktail. It improves the look of the car a lot, IMO.
The Side Scoops are great too.
The Front Bumper looks very good. I have an issue with the way it was done, there were some seams from the mold that were not properly fixed when painted. To me it seems that should have been sanded and repaired before painting. it should have been disclosed.
Here are some closeup pics:
It almost looks like a seam in the PPF, but it is not. It is a seam in the plastic. I am going to talk to the PPF shop about getting it rectified. I talked to them about it a bit when I picked it up, they gave me a story about why the body shop guys left it as it was, but I don't buy it.
To get it fixed, I would likely get the stock bumper put back on, get it PPF'ed and Ceramic Coated, and then get the GT4 Bumper fixed and repainted, let it cure for 30 days, and then get it re PPF'ed and Ceramic Coated. So it would take a bit of time.
The Spoiler and Side Scoops look so darn good that I don't think I would mind it with the stock front bumper on.
What do you guys think I should do about it? I think it will bother me if I don't fix it.
I am not too upset about it, I still love the car and the build, and I am confident I will sort it out.
I took it for a drive, the car is just so amazing. That gearing mod is excellent - it really transforms the car!!

Congrats on your kit coming in!
How did you handle the ducting for the third radiator?
They installed it. They said it was intuitive to figure out. They agreed with me the instructions were a joke. It was like having no instructions But they thought it was a quality kit, and they said the installation was very clean and uneventful. (With the exception of the issue I mentioned above, I suppose!)
Did you use the GT4 splitter support?
No. It was not in yet.
Did the FV rear spoiler require any work prior to painting?
I don't know. But it was already primed. It looks fantastic!
How well does the FV spoiler fit on the OEM mounting base?
Looks pretty good to me!
