Spyder RS Allocation Thread

^^^^This has always been the case. There are complete VIN databases on here…generally sequential in time, but bunches with earlier VINs produced layer
No one should be surprised at the overall numbers. There are 200 US dealers. My “average” dealer got 3 MY24 allocations.

Didn’t mean to make it seem like you said that it would be. Understanding it does add up quickly it still most likely won’t be more than 1,000 per model year. The same dealer only currently has 4 allocations for 2025 so unless a bunch of allocations drop from no where it won’t be a large amount made. 2,000 to me is not a lot…

Average of 3 per dealer per year is nothing. I think this car will go down as one of the most special cars ever made by Porsche. This one will be a keeper. I've had 2 GT3s, they bored the crap put of me, both manuals btw. I think this one is gonna be way more fun. For the first time in a while I'm actually excited for a car.

Dead: The Gas Porsche Boxster and Cayman (motor1.com)
It sounds like the cars are being cancelled in mid 2025 (maybe they mean mid 2025 production year). This article quotes "Porsche's production manager Albrecht Reimold told Automobilwoche the Boxster and Cayman will go out of production by the middle of next year." I wonder if the 2025 allocations out for the Spyder RS are going to be it, as this sounds universal.

I’m on my way to Stuttgart this evening, in less than 36 hours, I’ll be laying my hands on my new Spyder.
I’m excited and apprehensive, I’m gonna drive at least 1700 km through mountains and the foothills, possibly Nurburgring, all with no PPF.
Wish me luck!

Enjoy! If you stay away from racetracks and truck-infested highways, you should have little problem without additional PPF in Europe. The roads are normally much cleaner, or if they are not clean, there is little traffic or speed is slow...

If you can make a thread with a quick summary and some pictures after your trip, that would be appreciated. I am considering doing this in the future and would love to see your perspective.
