Spyder RS Allocation Thread

Of the 10 showing available on the Porsche inventory the last one is 523 and is showing available in August.
Regarding showing in inventory on the website they must not automatically show up in inventory anymore? Mine has not shown up anywhere. Also the website doesn't show all available as the local dealer has one listed in inventory not showing on the Porsche website.

Three Wheelin'
I have no idea, but I assume there is some semblance of contiguous ordering of the VINs for North America but they could skip around. Mine is 185 but I know that some that finished production before mine had a higher number.

SB and RSN were on stop order (temporary), not discontinued (permanent).

But what @Airbag997 said is correct: that it's a stop order rather than discontinuation. So I stand corrected that it will likely be available again in the future if not near future.

About 2 years ago I called every MSRP dealer I could find and asked about a Spyder RS before it was announced. Two dealers were willing to entertain even putting me on a list or taking a deposit from me. When the Spyder RS was announced I called both, one of them my sales guy had left and they didn’t want to deal with anyone out of state any more so they refunded my deposit. Second one called me back and remembered my conversation I had with the GM and decided to take a deposit from me saying I am #2 on the list for one. Today that day came where the GM texted me saying they had an MSRP allocation for me if I was interested. Of course I said yes. Sadly both PTS and Euro Delivery are unavailable.
Build locks in August, enters production in September and says I will get the car in October-January.

That's impressive cooler! No relationship? I emailed every single dealer in the country (no trade) and offered watch, warranty, Porsche finance, right of first refusal,/agreement not to sell in exchange for an MSRP build. Nothing materialized so far. I have a feeling one dealership will be able to come through at 30k or better after speaking with management. In any event congrats cooler! Are you selling your gt4rs? I should add that I only began emailing 6 months ago.

Planning to keep the 4RS for now, sadly I was unable to get PTS or European Delivery on the SRS which makes it a bit less special to me considering my 4RS is an amazing PTS spec. I also want to compare both driving experiences back to back here in the local canyons to see which one I prefer. Now if someone offered me a swap for my 4RS on another GT/RS Porsche that would compliment the SRS better I might be tempted. If I dislike the SRS and enjoy the 4RS more then I plan to give back the SRS to the dealership at MSRP and hopefully receive a 992.2 Touring/3RS/etc.

No relationship but I think what helped was doing this 2+ years ago before the SRS was announced and the hype train/lists began. Ultimately the biggest reason I got it was that the GM remembered our conversation and said he was a man of his word so he would do it as long as they received 2+ allocations being a small dealer. The other MSRP dealership I had the same ''deal'' with told me they weren't interested servicing anyone out of state any more. I actually stopped searching for an SRS since I have the 4RS and did not want a "similar" experience for above MSRP.
