this I knew even without numbers (just from checking amount of Spyder compared to GTS on sale)

That last thing is a bit ruined now as I found out there are about twice as many Spyders as Boxster GTS 4.0 (at least in the US).

It's okay, they'll be more rare and still depreciate harder than the GT4 or Spyders. Demand just isn't there for the GTS 4.0 because its not a GT car, look at current ADM's where you can get a GTS for 5k over while GT4/Spyder allocations are still 20k+ for a speccable allocation.

This is true, but doesn't tell the whole story.
Take a look (TLDW: Yes, Spyders will depreciate significantly less per time-unit but will depreciate much more per mile driven)

Ya! It did miss a year’s production though (I don’t believe their is a 2020 model year)

I think there are 2020 GTS 4.0 models in Europe but the first build for the North American market was Oct 2020 with delivery in December as 2021 models. The October build was the only one that offered PCCB. As best I can determine (Half Monkey's database), my BGTS 4.0 is the only one in North America with PCCB, LWBS, and 6MT. Unicorn. Asking $379,900....... just kidding.

Suspect you are correct. I think that is the curse of having a more specialized model like a Spyder. The typical Spyder buyer will gravitate more towards the lower mileage examples and shun the higher mileage examples, whereas I doubt that distinction will be as amplified on a GTS 4.0 because it is perceived as more of a daily driver.

Cool seeing the data. No wonder the GTS 4.0 is so hard to get, guess I was super lucky to find a used 2022 MT one

FWIW My CGTS 4.0 was produced on 09/28/2020 and delivered on 11/17/2020 as a 2021 model

Ya, it is pretty gross / blatant and even more disheartening that no one seems to care.

I'm with you. My Chalk Spyder would have had a red top if they didn't require you to spec the Spyder Classic Interior with it.
