718 Production Numbers
NOTE: All information provided in this thread's post is inaccurate and a new thread will be posted soon, sorry.
This is something I have wanted to find out for quite some time now.
I love Porsche, and I love data and statistics, and as a future Spyder owner, I was very interested to find out more about the rarity of our cars and, more specifically, the rarity of each color.
Sadly, all the methods of retrieving information 'of VIN' were taken down over the years, and since the begging of 2022 there wasn't a 'known method'.
Some great statistics were provided by different users like @wizee, but they all seem to be somewhat incomplete, especially for the second half of 2022.
I will provide more data the more I work on this, this is just a snippet I wanted to share.
I plan to analyze GT4, GTS as well as LWBS, PCCB, interior color, wheels color, headlights, etc.
Anyways, here are all the 4.0 liters that were imported to North America (USA + Canada):

That is some very valuable information, thank you! Warms the heart of a racing yellow spyder owner like me. No-cost color and just under 3 percent of cars were made in that color.
However as Frozen berry teaches us, scarcity for one is oddity for another. :-)
Roughly 3/4 of cars made in other than base colors also speaks a certain message.

I'm fortunate to have 22 Spyder in PTS--and with my selection the Spyder Classic Interior was not appropriate for the scheme.
However, for any of those who like the Spyder Classic, and in particular the red top, this suggests there SHOULD be many cars that selected Classic Interior based on the number of white, silver, and chalk exteriors that were sold.
Thank you, @Lucifer for putting this together. Cool summary, and it will be helpful to those who seek these cars in the used market in the coming years.

Hard to believe that there are 10 FBM Spyders. My bet would have been zero. No dealer would have configured it on spec. So… there are 10 folks out there that thought to themselves “I gotsta get me zome of that FBM…”
A FBM Boxster with a red top and a red interior shared the boat with our Spyder.

Is this the same data from the other “rare” thread or has a new data source opened up?
The other thread died when VA closed it’s portal.
Would be great if the effort could be finished

what's the difference between:
- PTS
- exterior in custom color
- ext in custom color non-metallic? (well this one is obvious)
how do those relate - aren't the latter 2 included in the PTS count?

Matt Farah checked off all those boxes Lol!! Ugliest optioned Spyder Ive ever seen, and it actually ruins this platform this way. The only thing great about his whip is under the “hood” with the DeMan 4.5L.

There are two codes, 891V and 981V, and for some reason Porsche calls them in 3 different names for different vehicles. In means that the total amount of PTSs are the 3 combined

There are 3 VINs at the begging of the manufacturing process with no pictures and no history at all, but they exist
