Maybe it's because of living with older convertibles over the years, but I really don't think the Spyder roof is that annoying. It's probably fair to say that you miss out on the really excellent Boxster roof though -- the ability to put the top up and down almost as easy as a window is pretty great, to be sure.
On the flip side of the equation, the GT4 and Cayman GTS have pretty comparable looks, while the Spyder is (to my eye), dramatically more attractive than a Boxster GTS.
If I can't scrounge up one of the last few Spyder allocations, I think a CGTS might actually be my fallback (unless I just go the used route for a Spyder)

Agreed with your point about the Spyder looks; that's one of the main reasons I eventually decided to cancel the BGTS and go for the Spyder.
Maybe I will get used to the stupid roof mechanism after owning the car for some time.

You keep saying this and I’ll keep replying that not all of us that bought GTS cars wanted GT4s. The price Delta between the two is not insignificant when similarly specced (Around $23k for my GTS to GT4 when optioned similarly), and again depreciation per mile in a GTS will be lower than a GT4 if you actually drive the car on a regular basis, and you’ve gotta have this, that and the other thing as options on the GT4 to be desirable on the secondary market according to this forum. You have this air of arrogance and condescension toward the GTS and their owners, and quite frankly it’s getting really damn tiring. If most of us had wanted a GT4 we probably would have bought one. We didn’t, and love our “makes very little sense” GTS cars.
The GTS makes very little sense when there is the GT4, in my opinion. It is the more desirable version, it is as easy to daily (if that's what you want) as the GTS and it will have significantly lower depreciation.
The Boxster and Spyder is a slightly different story because of how annoying the roof in the Spyder is - but on the other hand, it looks so much more exotic than both the GTS and the GT4.

Interesting numbers. In general, I don't think you can draw any conclusions on GTS vs GT4 when the numbers are only separated by 75 cars. The bottom line: these numbers are very low for each. And that's great!
When I was shopping, I started off comparing a base to an S and my friends talked me into the GTS (good friends!). So going to the GT4 was about another $10-14k for my spec as I recall, over the GTS, which was $15k over the S I was considering. So the money crept up quickly.
Aside from the money, I originally wanted to drive the car more and to stay under the radar more. So the GT4's wing was not consistent with that plan. Of course, when I changed to Shark Blue, that plan went out the window and part of me wishes I opted for the GT4 in the end. Regardless, I absolutely love how the GTS drives.
Now I have a 911T coming in around May. I am keeping both cars. I expect to do a lot of comparisons and am very curious to see which I enjoy driving most, and separate questions, which I enjoy owning both.
Oh, and the 911T will be Python Green with Aero kit. NOT under no radar there! lol

Would be really interesting to hear your thoughts about 911T vs CGTS.

Is this all North America cars? Seems like it. The VINanalytics.com data showed 763 GT4s for the USA and 200-something for GT4 for Canada for MY 2020. And IIRC, 2020 was the last model year we are pretty sure that VinAnalytics Porsche data was complete....

Interesting numbers. I'm curious about the data source(s) used.
