Technically it’s the same price with or without the wing if you get it at MSRP. To me, without the wing it looks more subtle and classy; therefore more appealing. It highlights the classic 911 shape more without the wing. Had two 997 GT3’s with wings for over a decade combined, kind of over the wing-thing to be honest. Not really tracking much so the downforce is not really needed.

I'm with @Adrift on this one. Actually in general I actually find most Porsches to just look better with a wing. That being said I realize looks are subjective. However I do think Porsche should have made the Touring model slightly cheaper since all they did was remove a wing.

Never looked into it but I always believed that the Touring had more creature comforts inside. Is it really just a wing delete?

The touring gets the painted black plastic lower spoiler and some fancy interior leather texturing. Other than that, I think that's it...

And I wasn't referring to MSRP, but the ADM or private sale pricing, which seems to always exceed std gt3 pricing (by some decent margin).

It could be that everyone who's able and willing to pay uber prices for a Spyder has already gotten one. Sellers are either unwilling to accept off-peak prices and/or choosing to keep it for their own enjoyment instead. This is one of those rare times where the supply and demand equilibrium is off. Happens in RE in every down turn cycle and is happening now.

That car’s a stripper with some miles. Not a very desirable car. And it’s still priced way over sticker. I think he’d be lucky to get $175k for that car right now.

The reserve is delusional.

Spyders were never in very high demand outside of the COVID bubble period. Too many people have short memories.

12k miles is not bad if you want to keep it long term, also has CPO until ‘25 too. Has buckets in it as well (though that is not a plus for me due to my crappy lower back). If it had leather interior I would have been so tempted at that price to be honest…

But most Tourings that went for big markups had sub 5k miles and much better builds. And even that market window has passed. Anybody who can’t see that the music is stopping, isn’t paying attention. On forum after forum I keep reading about people who are bailing on cars about to be delivered or selling cars due to deteriorating financial conditions.

That would give me some hope to getting a GT3T allocation.
