Current Marker for Used Spyder

I simply do NOT get the mania over the gt3 touring. To pay more for one than a std gt3 just hurts my head. I get that some people don't want the wing, but for me at least, the rear end of the 911 just looks bland - bulbous - incomplete without some spoiler or feature there.

Technically it’s the same price with or without the wing if you get it at MSRP. To me, without the wing it looks more subtle and classy; therefore more appealing. It highlights the classic 911 shape more without the wing. Had two 997 GT3’s with wings for over a decade combined, kind of over the wing-thing to be honest. Not really tracking much so the downforce is not really needed.

I'm with @Adrift on this one. Actually in general I actually find most Porsches to just look better with a wing. That being said I realize looks are subjective. However I do think Porsche should have made the Touring model slightly cheaper since all they did was remove a wing.

Granted it's a 2016 981 Spyder but this deserves some attention. Low, low miles.

The touring gets the painted black plastic lower spoiler and some fancy interior leather texturing. Other than that, I think that's it...
And I wasn't referring to MSRP, but the ADM or private sale pricing, which seems to always exceed std gt3 pricing (by some decent margin).

It could be that everyone who's able and willing to pay uber prices for a Spyder has already gotten one. Sellers are either unwilling to accept off-peak prices and/or choosing to keep it for their own enjoyment instead. This is one of those rare times where the supply and demand equilibrium is off. Happens in RE in every down turn cycle and is happening now.

But most Tourings that went for big markups had sub 5k miles and much better builds. And even that market window has passed. Anybody who can’t see that the music is stopping, isn’t paying attention. On forum after forum I keep reading about people who are bailing on cars about to be delivered or selling cars due to deteriorating financial conditions.
