Perhaps just a glitch on the Porsche Finder

Seems about right for GTSs on BAT

@TXshaggy Why do you think this "seems about right"? To me, it seems like a screaming buy. These are some of the best-drivers' cars in the Porsche lineup.

I also didn’t find the red GT4RS on their site.

But I did various searches on THE COLLECTION web site, and found these two GT4RS that were not included in the inventory drop-down (not even the ALL PORSCHES option).

I’ve had this experience with other dealer web sites. I typed “GT” into their search bar, and in addition to a Gentian GT4, these two GT4RS appeared. The yellow is priced well over MSRP so it would seem as though the Guards Red 4RS was either an error, or sold in a nanosecond.

You can search the BAT site for 718 Cayman/Boxster 4.0 cars and see similar results.

My comments were simply an anecdotal observation of BAT results and nothing more.

Understood. More often than not I typically believe that BaT sales reasonably represent the market. In this case, for reasons I don't understand, it seems BaT sales are way off. Perhaps it's just wishful thinking.

Willing seller + willing buyer = Market for that car at this time.

I think sites like bringatrailer are a good indicator of market trends, but not necessarily market prices.

Most buyers don't want to buy a car sight-unseen (especially a 6 figure one), don't want to deal with payments of large sums of money to individuals or dealers that they don't know and are not local, don't want to deal with and pay for shipping a car, and don't want to pay multi-thousand dollar auction fees to the web site that hosted the auction. Even for a fairly rare car like a spider or a GT4, why would I take a risk (much less pay a premium) on a car halfway across the country when 5 Porsche dealers within an hour's drive of my home regularly get examples of those same vehicles in that I can examine and test drive and negotiate a reasonable price on?

Because of this, sites like Bringatrailer are most successful at selling true rarities and oddities - vehicles that you simply cannot find within a 200 mile radius of your home.

And when you click on the window sticker now linked at that site, it shows a total of $195,660. So it's a $60K ADM.

You should post this in the allocation thread…this is for new/used inventory cars.

People looking for buildable allocations

Definitely gotta subscribe to this thread. Was waiting for a Carrera S but going to get a 718 Spyder instead. First Porsche, I'm psyched.

Checked this out locally yesterday and it was very clean. But they don't seem to want to budge much on price and I've been seeing sticker +15k or so as a max swing on a non PTS/clean car. And it's and still missing some things like CarPlay. The hunt continues!

You can definitely do better than that at that price. Keep looking. I saw a few on the Porsche website the other day that were better spec'd for the same money.
