Thanks for the reply Scoot, my comfort level would increase substantially with your confirmation that if I wanted to return the ECU programing to factory stock there would be no trace that the ECU was ever touched?

I wish there is a FAQ that covers all these topics on Softronics website 😉

fyi - I’m a computer retard and figured out how to use the DimSport, retrieve my stock file and have sent it on to Scott to do his thang. Assuming I did it right that is! I eagerly await the email that says “nice try, but the only thing attach was a picture of a cat”

The existing FAQ on the Softronic site is inadequate and do not cover any of the questions being ask here. Have a read through it and you will see. Don't get me wrong, I am a happy Softronic customer and I too am tired of seeing the same questions on multiple forum being asked......

So can you go back and forth between the stock config and the modded config as often as you like? How much time does it take to do it each time? I assume both configs are saved on the handheld device so you can just select the option and save?

I expect this to like my 981, last week I swapped my 102 RON mapping to 98 RON mapping in approx 15 minutes (didn't use stopwatch) on a DimSport.

Received my tuned file from Scott today, install was very straightforward and took about 10 minutes total. Took car out for about a 40 minute drive, acceleration definitely feels smoother and the exhaust note has changed for the positive. Hard to determine how the additional power feels since it’s 40° here and at that temp I’m very traction limited.

If I can do this process anyone can.

It will be very noticeable the next time you take it out.

Curious to hear your feedback on how the exhaust note has changed. Are you 100% stock otherwise?

I tend to agree it would also be good if the site had some dyno charts supporting the products claims, enquires via their contacts on the website were rather dismissive and not what I would expect from a vendor intent on marketing their product ymmv

Full SOUL exhaust (catless headers, over axle pipes and valved rear section) and now the tune... no other mods.

Don't know how to explain the difference. Has more oomph sound at idle and appears to be smoothed out at higher RPM's, by smoother I mean how the engine revs and the note is for lack of better term "more controlled". I'm still running with valves 100% open because (if I understood correctly) my ECU read differently than some of the others and he still needed to work on getting that option figured out. Hopefully he can get it sorted once back from holidays, that was a big part of my doing a tune vs. controller. Scott @Softronic may be able to better describe why?

Just in my short drive, I'm happy with how it feels and look forward to being able to really test it out in better weather.

Is there really ~30HP and 30tq (pulled from website) to be gained from just a flash tune on the GT4?

That seems more like a conservative tune figure increase of what a boosted car would see.

Porsche really left 30hp/tq on the table with just timing and mapping?
