A rare dry, sunny winter day in Seattle turned into an unplanned PCA cars and coffee and we had 80+ cars show up. So much pent up demand and cabin fever. It was nice to hang out with a fellow Rennlist / PCA member and compare our Spyders. In the harsh mid-day sun, both chalk and white started to blend together

I stopped for a quick sunrise photo on the way:

I only managed to get one bad photo of our cars together…I was too busy talking 😂

I must admit to some seat envy whenever I see the carbon buckets…drool worthy.

Lots of other photos of the event with everything from a 992 GT3 to air cooled classics if you are interested - https://911maniac.com/2022/01/10/pnw...rs-and-coffee/

I enjoyed a full day at The Shop, a local car club with lifts/tools, etc, installing a Kline cat-back exhaust system in the Spyder. My two kids were there to help and my wife handled photography and occasionally an extra hand.

This is the same info I posted in the Kline thread but this is my own thread so I’m adding it here as well 😃

The blog post with backstory and all the photos - https://911maniac.com/2022/01/19/jon...y-at-the-shop/

The step by step guide we created that may be of use to others - https://911maniac.com/kline/

A few of my favorites from the day:

My custom plate finally arrived. When asked what my favorite car has been, I’ve always said “the next one.”

The Spyder is my favorite by far so I decided to put it on the plate 😂

I love your family's tradition where each person gets to pick what the whole family does for a day, although I just cannot bear the thought of making cupcakes with the girls.

If I can get a pedicure and spend an hour in a cat cafe (drinking coffee in a room filled with cats), you can make some cupcakes. At least you get to eat them and can pile on obscene amounts of frosting 😃

I will be at my tire shop this week and this detail will be helpful as we work to remedy my set-up. I will also report back (once successful).
As an update...AT LAST my TPMS sensors are working on my winter tire set-up. It was discovered that there was a bad unit (from the manufacturer)...and that single unit caused NONE of them to be read by the car. Therefore, if anyone else encounters this issue--save your shop some time and have them look for a defective unit.

Took a glamour shot after finishing my exhaust install (part 2) and washing the car. It sounded incredible on the ride home!

I finished an all day Porsche club tour today, 300 miles in total and 12 hours door to door. Top down for half of it and in either case, the Kline exhaust was glorious. My wife was with me and commented that it sounded great and "not too loud". We ended the day at sunset and I grabbed a few photos plus a few snaps throughout the day:

We started the day in thick, thick fog so it was top up in the early morning.

The fog cleared, the sun came out and the top came down. Big jackets help!

A couple that motors together stays together! I'm lucky to have this ride or die in my life for sure!

Great day at Driver Skills with PCA. The Spyder was clearly built for this. Effortless performance and endless fun. It was a frosty morning but a beautiful day. Top down all day except the skid pad which was fun but filthy!

Too bad, it was just when it looked like you were getting the hang of it and they 'red-flagged' you!

The video of controlling under steer with throttle was boring so I only used the parts where I intentionally induced massive oversteer 😃 By the last run I was able to control it a bit better but not continuously around the circle like the instructors. Next time!

I did really well on the figure 8 and it was a blast to experiment with throttle steer and this cars lively backend in a safe environment.
