Here you go guys, to whet your appetite. I saw 7 others that I couldn’t take pics of along with 2 on the assembly line, got to see the engine marriage on one of them as well.
I would think by year's end a very small ADM or sticker will not be difficult thb. GT3 100%, GT4rs might take a little longer to drop, but I've seen this many times. Speedster went back to sticker from 100k adm's once they landed and the economy was great then.
I think GT4RS ADMs will be around $25k +/- by the end of this year.
With the market tumbling, I bet your friend has plenty of company.
Agreed.
I had a phone conversation with a dealer late last week that I have no relationship with.
They have an allocation slot available for $100,000 ADM and I was told there were two other people ahead of me.
Today, I was offered the slot at their requested ADM and I told them that I would have to pass.
How much other business do you do with the dealership? So we have the whole picture. I assume this dealer has made money off you via other transactions in the past. Was there a trade in? Etc. (Sorry if this was covered earlier in the thread)
I have a 20+ year history with the dealer and always trade back my cars after 2-3 years of use. I drive them and don’t consider myself a collector with a 2-3 year holding period. I always buy at MSRP but my trades can be considered an ADM because they make anywhere from 10k-30k on them each time. With the market over the last 10 years, I was either at break-even or made a little on the trades. The previous 10 years, I’ve taken the hit on depreciation, but didn’t really care because the cars were always worth it. I think today some dealers are trying to balance rewarding loyal customers with no ADM or a low one, and saving some allocations for high bidders to make up for the lack of allocations. Things will correct, they always do, and even the managers I’ve talked to know that the ADM party will not last once things normalize. *Forgot to mention that I did not do a trade for the 4RS allocation. I may at the time of delivery, but that was not required.
You going to keep it or flip it back to them? A quick $50k profit (or more) would be a hard thing to pass on, and might get you a touring allocation or something! Although, by the time it gets here, the market will likely be very different, as discussed above.

Always find it funny when "customers" who have never purchased a GT or non-GT product demand a car with no ADM... The rest of us have been used to a "normalized" market where you buy the car you love to enjoy and don't care if you're losing 10-30k.
Unless you are a 918 VIP client, saying you won't pay $1.00 ADM is either ignorant or acceptance that you won't be allocated a build spot. Even VIP customers are paying ADM. In the current market, a $125k ADM on a GT4RS is a bargain. My dealership has been increasing the ADM based on probable allocations and customers willingness to pay. They will be charging at least $225k. 6 weeks ago I was told the number was $300K ADM. I can't afford that....but, there are enough collectors that want the car and won't risk missing it for that amount given the end of ICE.
225k , 300k ADM??? On a shoehorned cayman! You’re nuts!
i had an allocation locked at 75k that was due next year but I let it go.
paying the 75k just didn’t sit right with me. These dealerships aren’t making any friends and I’m looking forward to the other side of this when we get to negotiate down below msrp (though this likely won’t be the case for the 4RS)
…unfortunately hard to compete with dumb money In the short term but these things tend to work themselves out in the long run

And I find it funny that people with stoopid money and dealer expect others to be just as stoopid about their finances as they are and have the same type of dealer / relationship.
Perhaps. I was offered an allocation at $125K for a GT4 RS. Not sure if that figure is down from a higher price point but it's possible.
This is a very interesting time with the limited supply of materials, covid, war, inflation, and possible recession. I can not predict what is going to happen. Several things are happening simultaneously and some are working in opposite directions.
As I mentioned before I ended up paying 40k above for a PTS allocation. Never paid ADM before for my GT cars and even had discount for non-gt cars last year or so when a Prius demanded ADM. Did sell back a 718 spyder after 7500 miles - they made 20k when I lost tax only. But this time I agreed to it because I am in the process of collecting the representative last NA engine from each marquee, Flat 6, V8, V10 and V12. My feeling about the ADM is that it should remain for quite a while and it won't drop to zero before the last batch for those non-918 customer.
I am telling my wife my 4RS will be a museum piece. Then she rolled her eyes. lol
My car was shipped last week and now on its way to my dealer, I have looked at PSVMS and found this number for Tyre (6UAK00LX), does anyone know if this number relate to the Tyre brand ? for example Mich. cup 2 or Dunlop ?
