Once you are in the “club”, buying GT cars, then you spec the next one, etc. Maybe break even on your MSRP, each time you flip it to get the next upgraded model. The 918 guys made out like bandits, while the other regulars still took a financial hit along the line to get into the queue for GT cars.
Not always. Got a basic referral to my SA, we hit it off and I got my first Porsche (MY21 718 GT4) at a discount from MSRP. Sooo... I think that timing is everything and patience pays off.

That would be $10k. because if i tracked like you I would say OK i can do $10k and not be at purchase price risk too much. Plus cant get too greedy. If I could live with the 4RS as a daily I might pay $10k on a stripper. NO way Mag wheels or PCCB or Weissach...

Except for numbered cars, pretty much everyone who wants a GT car gets one eventually.

Fortunate enough to get the call yesterday for a full build allocation. Strangely enough, locks today or tomorrow, didn’t ask about build dates or delivery estimate as I didn’t have time to ask, will find out more today.

Wondering if that’s is a 2024 based on the lock date.

Based on lock date, I would assume a 2024... which saves you a few bucks.

Congrats, you did better than me securing one! I got the call from several dealers with late 2024's this week once they found out 2025's were coming, but they all wanted too high of an ADM plus I needed to buy a watch, prepaid maintenance, buy and lose money on a Macan/Taycan, free unlimited access to my boat, or some other combination of BS to get it.

Essentially you have to pay one way or another. Either pay a 30-35k ADM and deal with no strings/b*ll**** or get one at MSRP then take a bath on your trade in, buy a watch, buy maintenance, buy ppf, lease/finance from the dealer but hey you got it at "MSRP" even though it adds up to the same ADM if not more. Anyone thinking they will get an MSRP allocation AND the dealer will let them do a stripper no option build will keep dreaming until production ends. Dealers are smart and IF these allocations ever drop down to MSRP they will say it will be MSRP but require 30k+ in options and they will find people to take that easily.

I'm not asking for MSRP, just 15k-20k ADM total depending on the level of BS I have to endure. They are out there, I missed out on 3 allocations at 20k by being later than the next person in line to call back over the last year or so. Otherwise I'll just keep my Z06 because it's not worth it to me personally, but I understand many folks pay more in one way or another.

And many here on RL, are not chasing a GT car, they're chasing a deal that will never exist, except in their posts....

I guess this has devolved into an ADM thread…sad, as suspect many actually looking for an allocation.

Uhh, there are no allocations available without ADM in some form unless you are extremely lucky. So an allocation thread without ADM discussion isn't going to happen. Cheers to those who have the purchasing power to not care about the ADM, but most of the people here obviously have a limit on what they will pay for a car so simply posting allocations without price is of little value.
