So do we think this is a short run car with limited production? I thought they said “everyone” will get one. Doesn’t seem to be the case. ?

Limited, no not a numbered car.

Allocations been dropping for 2 years, brokers routinely post available build slots and inventory cars…if you want one they’re available.

Define everyone?

Wasn’t there a few MY22 in a short run?

They never made it to the US at the initial release MSRP of 140k. I have vin #0026 and its MY23/149k starting msrp.

Thanks for the info! Did some other countries get 22’s?

Normally the Porsche sport cars are first available in Europe (incl. UK) before you can get them in the US (for example, I test drove a 981 Boxster S in Switzerland almost 2 months before they had the US launch). So I would assume that most MY22 cars probably were sold in Germany, UK, Switzerland, Austria, France etc.

Porsche made 1100 MY22 GT4RS. None of them went to North America.

And they all sucked up the supply of the Matrix LEDs 🙁. The only complaint I have on my spec.

It's all speculation at this point. It's certainly possible that we could see production continue into 2025, but it will likely end by Q2. This will make up for the 2022 production that never made it to the US. AP said 2.5 years and 7,000 units right out of the gate, but that could also include the limited run in 2022 for Europe, along with MY23 and MY24 for the rest of the world.

In addition, it appears the 718 EV is getting closer to launch (see link below). I know they said they may have some overlap between the EV and ICE versions, but I'm assuming they'll mirror the Macan strategy, where they will keep the Base and S 4 cylinders as the entry point and have the EV versions as the premium options. It's highly unlikely Porsche will be offering the 4RS and SRS up against the EV versions of the 718.

Here are some newly released spy shots of the 718 EV.

Here’s the build sheet for the Oslo Blue GT4 RS that’s available. I’m told it can be taken for $30k over MSRP. Shoot me a PM if you want me to put you in touch.

Some 918 customers did get the original pricing.
