I don't know that Matrix LED headlights were even offered on the 4RS, certainly not in North America.

And they're not active in the US. I'm hung with them on my C4 GTS.

Does anyone know if dealer has received new rounds of 4RS allocations?

AP said 2.5 years and 7,000 units right out of the gate, but that could also include the limited run in 2022 for Europe, along with MY23 and MY24 for the rest of the world.

In addition, it appears the 718 EV is getting closer to launch (see link below). I know they said they may have some overlap between the EV and ICE versions, but I'm assuming they'll mirror the Macan strategy, where they will keep the Base and S 4 cylinders as the entry point and have the EV versions as the premium options. It's highly unlikely Porsche will be offering the 4RS and SRS up against the EV versions of the 718.

Here are some newly released spy shots of the 718 EV.

If indeed the 2025MY ends up being a short production run, then I can't see the ADMs coming down (in general)...I always hoped for lower ADMs as production progresses since more of those who want a car have gotten a car, and it puts less pressure on demand.

Currently have a Cali store with a 4RS slot that they'll let me do 45k over MSRP on. It's a May build.

I don’t think this car will EVER change hands below MSRP. Unlikely ADM will change in the next 12 months. Probably increase towards the end actually…they made a unicorn car and they won’t make it again ..

And if you haven’t driven one, once you do it’s intoxicating and nothing else comes close IMO

MY25 will be up atleast 10k-15k on the base and options will increase another 20%+ similar to what they did for MY24.

Holy grail for Porsche? No not even close: holy grail for Cayman yes not even close. Porsche has made some epic cars in their history. I’m guessing the automotive experts would put this in the top 10 of all time from Porsche. In the past Ruf would be the only ones attempting this mod not porsche themselves

I believe "holy grail" will always be associated with the the following key features: a manual transmission, hydraulic steering, and a special engine from the GT department. The 4RS will definitely (assuming no 718 R with a 6 speed) be the swan song of the Cayman, but I think it will live in the shadow of the SRS over time from a collectibility standpoint. SRS will be the one to have. It's arguably much better looking as well, and this is coming from someone with a 4RS on order.

But have you driven (or own one)? Having the engine in the cabin is quite a different and unique experience.

Personally, I feel like the pricing today is primarily a function of folks who are enamored by the numbers, but who won't be long term collectors. Just my opinion, but I feel you shouldn't be buying this car if you're not a track rat. In my mind it's a downright travesty if you only ever drive this car on mountain roads to a coffee shop or worse yet spec the car without buckets, LOL . But heh . . . just one old curmudgeon's opinion

For the record, I'm putting my proverbial money where my mouth is. I just bought a '20 GT4 that has buckets and am putting a roll bar and a 6 point harness in the car and keeping the car at Lime Rock Park where it will be used exclusively as a track toy and never see public roads except when driving to and from the maintenance shop or ocassionally making the drive to Watkins Glenn for a track day there.

^ this Boomer agrees but has trailer and will travel. Just did a 3915 mile 6 day road trip to Hedge Hollow and High Plains for 1Lap recon.
