I can 'barely' see what you mean. I like this color, and I think it's HOT on the SRS. That red caliper looks good on the Scud too! The car looks much more uniform with the red calipers. But the yellow calipers against blacked out wheels look great as well. I think I'll keep the yellow calipers to let everyone know from a distance that I have the PCCBs on my beautiful SRS
Just need to decide on one final detail: To silver gloss the PORSCHE logo or stick with subdued black.
I vote for the black logo. Silver doesn’t look good to me, especially on the SRS and all the other black accents.

to be clear I like GR. Loved it on the 1.2-3 and it’s one of 2 colors I’m considering on SRS.
also one of Ferraris more popular reds is a very similar to GR.
It's worth noting that GR today isn't the same as it's always been and that it used to be more orange than it is now. Maybe that's where the reputation came from and people are just sticking with it. I bought a Guards Red travel coffee cup from Porsche and was a tiny bit sad when I realized it didn't match my car at all. It's definitely a bit orange. My car is not. I'm on my third Guards Red car and I love it. I don't see any orange at all and choose it over Carmine Red all day long. Given free choice of the entire PTS and standard colours for an SRS... I'd choose Guards Red for that too. It's a shame they don't have anything better like Mazda's Soul Red Crystal or even... metallic Guards Red.
It is what it is though. At least if you want bright red, GR is a fantastic example. In my eyes anyway.
Yes, I am definitely happy with my choice. Ever since I made the decision, been re-viewing all of the SRS GR videos, and more I look at it, more I'm falling in love with it. Especiall with the partial exposed hood. It's beautiful!

That is interesting, and this article seems to support your comment that the paint code changed a few times. The mug is tough, plastic and all….
FINALLY! Got the email this morning. But the delaer obviously only uploaded the generic specs to secure the allocation, and did not upload my latest GR specs. They may be waiting until March knowing I'll change the specs again. Who can blame them after submitting 4 changes with no production date officially slotted?
I knew I had one for months, but the realism of being an owner of both 718 Spyder & the RS Spyder has just kicked up a notch. I will keep both unless Porsche does a surprise "Final, Final Surprise Manual Edition RS Spyder" before they kill off the mid engines. Even if they don't, I'd be happy. What a great feeling! Need to add Leipzig weather alerts to my phone now until I go there to see it!
I think that article is full of claims that are unsupported anywhere else; and she doesn’t mention her sources. Given that and the context of the claims being so counterintuitive, further explanation and actual data are necessary. They aren’t provided, and that’s called bad journalism.

She makes a valid point though.. At the end of the day, it's a bit of shiny pieces and ultimately you're doing this for the magnesium wheels at $35K all told. The only performance defining item are the magnesium wheels.
I've also thought about this a lot. But if this is indeed the final mid-engined Porsche, I'm going all the way. Weissach & the matching time-piece with the vin engraved on it.

The timepiece isn’t on the configurator… how do you order it with the car? What’s the price? I thought I remembered seeing these on the configurator some time ago.
I’m having an “uh-oh” moment. I already ordered my car and it’s at V215 status locked by Porsche.

I have a hard time recalling that any of these reviews quote the source of the information they use during the narrative of the video, they just ramble on like it is all fact...

If you scroll down within the configurator page, it's a separate link. No one at my dealership knew exactly how to order and make sure the VIN is listed. It's not too late at all! It looks like this:
Specially given the fact that I my car hasn't been assigned a vin number. So to play it safe, we've decided to order to timepiece after the VIN has been assigned to make sure we don't mess this up, and to properly link the timepiece to the vehicle.
If I were you, now that your configuration is locked, go to your dealership and order it together, and make sure the option to engrave the VIN is selected and input the correct VIN. The price, at least in the US is $9500.00. $10K give or take. This watch would not be worn, rather will be kept with the vehicle in unworn state. It has a swiss mvnt, but I have better time-piece for my d2d. It just adds to the sentiment IMO, cool marketing idea. Something for the owners to marvel at knowing that you are lucky to have the final ICE mid-engine PORSCHE with matching Chronograph.
I see you are in multiple states like I'm, Florida being one of them. I spend 6 months out of the year in Madeira Beach.

I think you should wear the watch. I don't think Porsche watches go up in value and you're never going to get back what you paid for it by selling it with the car. Porsche watches aren't for hoarding. Wear it and enjoy it.
