It is just that I read about what DeMan did with his project, found a company that could make a gearset for him to install into the current MT case that is living with (yes, yes I know about OEM warranty) as much as 566Hp and 450 ft-lb of torque...

As it is based on a 9A2 engine I believe slightly less than 8000 RPM, at least all of the dyno graphs I have seen do not exceed this RPM and peak HP comes before redline.

Well, if you want to dream big:
If the new Manual for the Spyder RS or 718R Coupe has no such torque limitation, there is no reason they couldn't use the motor from the forthcoming 992 GT3 RS or 911ST (expected to have 4.2L and in the neighborhood of 550hp and 365 ft-lbs)

I would prefer a Spyder RS as I have a gt3 touring, but if it is a long shot will go gt4 rs.

People “in the know” assure us a spyder rs is coming. That’s all we know. Also supposed to be a unicorn with 1 year production run (is the latest rumor).

To keep the last true speculation thread going (aside from ev predictions)…when do folks think we’ll hear an RS announcement? Nov again, like the 4RS? Other thoughts, based on world events? What makes sense?

My guess is GT3RS at Goodwood with Spyder RS at LA as you mentioned.
