What is the redline on the DeMan conversion to a 4.5L?

As it is based on a 9A2 engine I believe slightly less than 8000 RPM, at least all of the dyno graphs I have seen do not exceed this RPM and peak HP comes before redline.

That was I thought, but saw 7900 RPM on one of the dyno sheets... close enough!

Didn't Rick rebuild your 9A2 into 4.5l beast?

Are you saying 7.8k RPM for the 9A1 and something else for a 9A2?

A regular GT4/Spyder 9A2 has a 8k RPM redline.

Yes my car is 9A2 based and goes to 8k.

9A1 cars go to 7.8k

Grant is it 100% a Spyder RS is coming? I am going to pass on the gt4 rs if it means getting a Spyder RS. I am going to discuss with my dealer Monday.

Thank you

BTW, Grant is 100% speculating with no real knowledge

Please think twice before acting on anything I said here…

Also why not just order the GT4RS right now and if the Spyder RS comes, get it and sell the GT4RS? This covers all bases

I can't get both. It would be one or the other. He has other clients to satisfy.

I would prefer a Spyder RS as I have a gt3 touring, but if it is a long shot will go gt4 rs.

People “in the know” assure us a spyder rs is coming. That’s all we know. Also supposed to be a unicorn with 1 year production run (is the latest rumor).

To keep the last true speculation thread going (aside from ev predictions)…when do folks think we’ll hear an RS announcement? Nov again, like the 4RS? Other thoughts, based on world events? What makes sense?

My guess is GT3RS at Goodwood with Spyder RS at LA as you mentioned.

Hi there
I am new member based in Australia, I went to my local Porsche dealer and put down an EOI for "718 spyder with GT4RS engine". I just got an question how does EOI for Porsche works? Do they take EOI for a car they never make?
