The Porsche Kluber Syntheso Glep Grease for the gasket that Porsche used is expensive at $25. Porsche part number 000-043-305-01
Great find on Newegg, I forget how much stuff they now carry for 3rd parties. What do we use the Kluber Syntheso Glep Grease for in regards to the gasket? Is that the gasket that seals the filters in?

Not the gasket that bmc supplies which attaches to the filter. But rather the gasket that seals the air filter housing.
This is from the workshop manual:

Thank you, that is what I was suspecting, but I haven't removed mine and I wasn't aware there were O-rings in there. Cheers!

Did your box say for corvette on it? My aluminum tabs barely seem larger than the hole and I'm concerned the pucks may come loose and fall off.

I never noticed that sticker on my box, so I don't know. I also thought the tabs would be longer, but once you get them in and tightened up, they're on pretty solid, so I didn't think much about it. I can't budge them. You bring up a good point, though. I wonder if we got shipped the wrong part or if the corvette part is the same for Porsche? If you find anything out, please let me know.

They are the same - fit Corvettes & Porsches. There is a member that sells them in the Marketplace for not much...no need to keep them in all the time IMO.

I emailed the company, it's the same part that fits both. I may use blue Loctite on them, per their suggestion.

@Bob Z. I figured the point of them IS to keep them installed all the time to make life easier when one needs to put a jack up there. Otherwise, putting them on/off at 2 screws per piece gets annoying. I can tell you that having the jacking rails installed on my Mustang is very handy, for use on floor jacks and QuickJacks.

I second that. I stopped by their shop today and purchased a set in person. I asked the same question to them and I was told they're for both Porsche and Corvette.

Ordered with rear-badge-delete, installed GTS rear badge.
“718 Cayman GTS” seemed just too much for the rear. Like the simpler ID.

Just ordered the Ego 650cfm blower to make drying easier. Lots of dead bugs to get off tomorrow!

I use this before the blower. I can't say enough good things about them. I have the small version too for door jams and the like. I use a blower to get water out of the nooks and crannies afterwards.
