Maybe there is a thread about this, but you can't build a Spyder on the configurator anymore. The Spyder RS is available to build; however, the Spyder is now History, lol, and I'm picking mine up today! Pictures to come.
TYD notified me that I reached Milestone 9 today (arrived at local entry port) despite the fact that the ship unloaded at the JAX SPOD and then departed last Thursday - I suspect a little weekend delay in the system updating. Hoping for a quick TAT at the port/customs and a seamless trip to the dealership thereafter so I can pick up the car and move on from the "TYD do loop." Cheers.

It's oem. It was an option in this last year of production. the 356 has a personal connection to me. We had a 1953 Porsche 356 in our driveway collecting moss when I was a kid, I was the only one who paid it any attention and I washed and shined it, trying to bring it back to life. The car belonged to my favorite aunt who died of cancer back in 1983, she was 38. That's why I picked out the number. I also did the personalized door sills. I'll take more pictures later today and post here.
Regarding the 1953 Porsche. The car went back to my uncle, Bob Klotzer of El Toro CA. Not sure where it is today, but it was white with a red interior and a hard top. I love old cars but they often smell of gasoline which gives me a headache so I'm happy with my Modern Spyder. But I would be curious about the 1953 356.
