I’ve got a Shark Blue CGTS that just locked. The quoted manufacturing start date is late July. Hopeful to do European Delivery (in the winter). I’m getting pumped reading this thread!!

My new 718 GT4 arrived this week at the detailer (from the dealer) with transport damage.... to the rear left hand wheel arch.

It’s going to be ok. Get it fixed. Don’t respray. Ask them to make it look as good as possible without a respray. Use it as a reminder of how long you waited for the car and a memory of how happy you were to get it. Like Cindy Crawford’s beauty mark.

So sorry to hear this, and totally understand how you feel. On the good news side, it looks relatively small and superficial and agree with the best possible touchup without re-spraying the car. For some strange reason, in my mind, when a car comes through with a small issue which is present at the time of delivery, from a subliminal standpoint, it doesn’t bother me as much as the damage happening after I take possession. Think of it as a birthmark that was delivered on your new baby, of course you will love the car just the same.

My CGTS 4.0 delivery date just got pushed back a month from mid August to mid September

Was supposed to start manufacturing (didn’t) 2 days ago… 6/28 and complete 8/21. I’m guessing that is padding for the schedule? Don’t think manufacturing will actually take 2 months?? I know the plant closes in august.

If you'll notice, that one is SEVERELY out of date. It's from the 7th week of 2023, so all dates are from February and March.

Real bummer, but if it were me, I wouldn't even let them try to fix it, clean off the loose stuff, maybe smooth out the edge and forget about it.

Most people wouldn't even see it once cleaned up unless you pointed it out.

You have a great eye for catching flaws and the yellow paint definitely adds definition but it does look like it's pretty small and in an area that is tucked and folded so it's kind of shaded? Honestly, I probably wouldn't catch it. Congrats otherwise on a beautiful car. I heart Yellow!
On another note: My new Guards Red Spyder is now off the coast of California nearing San Diego!! Summer Love!

‘24 BGTS, original completion date estimated 7/1, then 7/3, then 7/6. Within the last 12 hours got the production photos. So, I guess it’s my turn to wait for a boat
