Lots of frustrated customers Porsche is creating.
Having a hard time of thinking "it is what it is" and getting frustrated that the delivery is now projected 3 months passed my original quoted delivery date.
Is anyone going to be approaching dealer for a discount or added extras?

Here is a recent article going over shipping issues with VW.
Summary:
"One car dealer said the port usually has around 6,000 cars waiting for export but at the moment the number of cars waiting to leave ‘has quadrupled’."
"‘We’ve had news that some cars that got built earlier are stuck right at the back of huge queues of cars waiting for transport and we’re not being told when they may arrive."

Having extras thrown in or price lowered by a few grand is a possibility. Those of us who pay cash for cars most likely pulled money out of other investments due to estimated delivery of car. +3 months over delivery projection costs a few grand that could have been easily made, especially in todays market when a short term CD can yield %4 - 5.25 APY. Basic math.

Warning: Don't take the dates too seriously on the tracker. I just checked the progress of my Spyder and all the days have shifted again. Apparently my car is at the port right now and waiting to catch a ship so I should expect my Car Next Month!!! Very Excited Here in SO CAL.

Well my production start date was yesterday and TYD has no updates since my last check point... looks like I will be expectedly delayed as well? Was hoping at least my schedule would reflect my delay! Oh well. LOL 🙄

I think even if it starts on time it takes 3-4 days to update. My production status updated late but still finished on time. I wouldn't worry about it, the real pain is waiting in port.

My car has finally exited PDI at port. It should be arriving at PECATL tomorrow... It sat at port for over 4 weeks.

I signed everything at the dealer yesterday. My SA did tell me that ship availability is an issue right now. Especially car carrier ships. Hopefully mine shows up in the fall.
