First time soon to be Porsche owner as well, though I did test drive a few 718's a cpl months prior to the pandemic, but I dont think this counts as "driving".
My patience is wearing thin on my end... I'm still showing Phase 1 (45 day ETA), "Scheduled for Production". When I use the inspect function on TYD, it shows orderState: "PRODUCED".

I'm doing everything I can on my end to not reach out and bug my SA (should I ?!), or wait till after the New Year... I just dont want to be known by my SA as "That guy"

My experience with the 4 phase process seemed to be behind the actual time frame in TYD. I didn’t go to Phase 3 until 6 days after the ship left. Bugging my SA didn’t give me any additional information.

Samesies. "My Porsche" shows Phase 1, but TYD showed production started Dec 16. then literally updated to Dec. 22 Sunday..weird). I logged on yesterday morning and all the car info had disappeared. Then it reappeared yesterday afternoon.
I emailed Porsche customer service about the "My Porsche" and "TYD" discrepancies and got the most generic response ever about delivery delays and parts shortages. Thanks a lot Bin Laden.

I suppose I'll have a cocktail and call the 1-800 number later. Wish them a glorious holiday season filled with PCCB's, LWBS, and stockings full of chips.

I’ll reach out to my SA after the New Year if I don’t see any updates on TYD…. Actually I’ll do it anyway.

I don’t want a call from my SA telling me my car arrived at the dealership when Im not expecting. I’m a planner, and I need to get my trade in ready for sale, get insurance quotes, along with making sure I have solid financing figures to work with from the bank(s). All of which I don’t want to be rushed into.

I’m outta here. Best Christmas present ever. Even under 4K rpm the induction noise is so, so good. Almost doesn’t need an exhaust
…almost…

My timeline for reference to those still waiting:

11/21 - Drove GTS 4.0 at PECLA, began search for MSRP allocation
1/22 - Secured MSRP allocation “commitment”, demand order submitted
4/22 - Allocation received/secured
(long wait to get production scheduled)
9/2/22 - Freeze Point reached
9/15/22 - Production officially scheduled
9/26/22 - Production started
9/29/22 - Production completed
9/30/22 - Arrival at Emden
11/2/22 - Loaded onto vessel
11/25/22 - Unloaded at San Diego port
12/22/22 - Finished Port Processing (one wheel damaged, had to wait for replacement)
12/23/22 - Delivered to dealer
12/24/22 @8:59am - I beat the dealer’s door down, signed my name a few times and took it home.

Already installed:
Uniden R7 & Blendmount
Fitcamx dashcam
Carlinkit wireless CarPlay adapter
SmartTOP module
911R shift ****
Windschott glass deflector
AWE wind foilers
Front and rear cargo liners
PCM screen protector

Soul exhaust goes on this week, PPF & ceramic will go on week after new years, along with clear side markers and Zunsport grills. Then I’m “done”

Just curious what's going on in this pic by your front radiators...was something being installed on the car when you picked it up, or why does it look like the front grille insert is "pushed in" and there are wires and something white and shiny visible in there? Having trouble reconciling what I'm seeing there haha.

Enjoy the hell out of it...it's such a wonderful machine!
Thank you very much! I think what you’re seeing is the reflection of the windows directly in front of the car combined with having had the grill painted gloss black. I opted for that instead of the standard matte finish as I like shiny things.

Does anyone have a current shipping schedule out of Emden? I can’t find anything online anywhere.

My GTS has been sitting at Emden since 11/30 after a 2 month delay in production. Im currently tracking the Siem Cicero which is due at Emden in a few days but that’s just because it’s the only roro I can find heading that way.

This is a bit confusing and I wonder if something is wrong with the car (needs a part replaced). My 992 GTS completed production on 12/10, and the same day it arrived in Emden, it boarded the Glovis Courage. Not sure why some cars are stuck in Emden. Did you reach out to your dealer for any specifics on the delay?

If you click "Americas" on the Glovis Schedule Page, you can find the latest schedule for those with cars heading to the West Coast. Believe it is updated every week.

chances are if he had specced Bose, then it could still be waiting on parts. Also it really depends on where the car is going. I'm on the west coast in the US and my car was at Emden for about a month because not a single ship was going there during that time.

Dealer has said that the car is complete and just waiting for a boat.

It does have Bose and Luxor interior which are assumed to have caused the 2 month production delay.

Heading to Houston, but I believe 3 boats have departed Emden since it’s been there with a stop in Houston.

Do you have more pics of your seats please? I've got the same interior colour combo on my Spyder coming and been thinking about getting the same seat inserts. Are the seat inserts white/black Pepita?

My car got delayed 1 1/2 months recently (shipping to California and expected early mid March 23) It says it's supposed to take 1.5 months to produce. I have Bermester, Race-tex, and Bi-xenon lights specced on my car. Still don't understand why it's delayed. Didn't hear about any shortage of parts for the options I specced. So I'm kind of confused.

My car was delayed a total of 2 months when i first ordered my car. Originally it was supposed to be delivered in October, but slowly got pushed back. Car pickup date is now mid Jan 2023. I'm also in California. Chances are the delays are just what they are normally going through and may not be related to any of your specced items. I would also assume it has to line up with a shipment date. I've seen that less ships come to California and that could be part of your delay. My car was delayed a full month waiting for a ship.
