And with all the issues of the long shore men and management of the California ports, costs have gone way up there.

Unsure what the reasoning behind that is, but i can count on one hand the amount of people in this waiting room that are waiting for a car over here.

My car was stuck at Emden for about a month. I had no conflicting parts (Bose, PDLS, PCCB) and no CXX options either. The delay was literally just not a single ship was making is way to California until a month later.
I'm on that hand, right? My Cayman is on the Glovis Clipper, scheduled to get to port (Benicia) in a few hours! Going to go boat-watch when it's a bit closer to the Golden Gate Bridge!

The eagle has landed! 14 months from my deposit and 6 months from allocation, this beauty just arrived. DPI and PPF means she won’t be in my garage for a couple of weeks, but it’s a nice Christmas gift to myself!

Best of luck to those still in the Waiting Room!!

haha yes you are on that hand. That’s exciting for you! When is the car expected to be ready at the dealership? All I’m doing now is waiting for my PEC date. Car is already in LA and is just sitting there waiting for me. I’m beyond excited and it’s so close.

Crazy stuff! A friend from Victoria sent me some pics. And here, it looks like the hay is germinating as the fields are turning green! I’m pretty sure ours is coming though… It would be nice to have dry roads to bring her home once she’s PPF’d!

Yes, it is a bit unusual for us but fortunately it doesn't stick around for long. I got halfway done with the driveway, and still needed to clear off the truck, then is snowed a little more overnight... not that I was planning to take my Spyder out!

My GT4 was on the Glovis Clipper and got dropped off in San Diego on Tuesday (12/20). I'm local (as is my dealer), so I expected to have the car by now. Unfortunately, something seems to have happened and a bunch of cars from that shipment are apparently being held at the port for "quality action." I'm told this is not the same code that gets used if there's body damage, so luckily it's not that. But not clear what it is. Anyone else dealing with this? And, if so, any other details? They bumped the delivery dates in TYD out by a full month. I'm hope that isn't true.

Is anyone else on the Glovis Courage? Looks like it will arrive at the Port of Benicia on January 9th (4 days early!). Anyone know how long it has been taking them to process the cars at the port?

I think it can depend on where the car is headed. Mine was dropped off at Benicia Port 12/03, processed in Port and was on a truck headed down to the LA PEC on 12/18 and arrived there 12/19. So roughly 2 weeks at port. Since my pickup date isnt till Jan 13th i assume they didnt need to rush processing my car so its possible that it took as long as it did due to not being on a tight schedule. If you are headed locally, there might be a chance that it processes quickly as ive heard some people get to pickup their cars within a few days of it making it stateside.

I too am on the Glovis Courage, with probably the closest dealer being in Walnut Creek. With a TYD final date of 1/20, the rep thinks it won’t be at the dealership until the end of January.

That sounds pretty realistic. If the ship hits port mid Jan, and assuming 2 weeks for port processing like with my car, i assume your car will be ready for pickup end of Jan or early Feb.

Awesome! What's your spec? My GT4 is headed to the dealer in Burlingame. Just a few more weeks now.

Hopefully they can process the car quicker than 2 weeks. I've got my PPF scheduled for Jan. 23rd...
