He also uses the same music to test every car's stereo system, so it's consistent and helps him compare.

Default Argh... the wait continues

Argh... just found out that with the import process time required for my car sitting at Halifax and with the back-up in transportation needed to clear the car out of the port that it may take another 4-6 weeks to get my Spyder landed here in Vancouver.

Ugh....... while this still falls under "high quality problem" it sure doesn't seem easy to get a Porsche LOL. Had I known this, before hand, I still would've ordered

Porsche is also late on con-rod parts for the repairs in the 4.0L recall, which makes a few guys feel the engines will be late. I'm mentally preparing for late September now for my car - a full 5 month delay. Let's hope they get it to you quicker than stated.

I'm currently at V250, awaiting V300 Vehicle Completion May 28, 2021 for a V900 Dealer Arrival July 30, 2021.

So as "misery loves company" here is a waiting room for all of us to bitch and moan about our FWP (First World Problem).

What are your builds?

P.s. a good PCA buddy lent me his 2011 997.2 TT cab for the weekend. Really, with friends like him, life is actually very good!

Feeling your pain fellow BC boys. It WILL be worth the wait for all of us. My car supposed to have gone V260 Friday. Will bug my SA next week as I didn’t get the email yet that I’m at stage 3. Might not be V300 till July 2 then.

Thanks for the reply. I did go to the dealership and sat in them again. I did not change my order. The order was supposed to lock this past Friday. I did not confirm if it did but will check with SA tomorrow. I will keep the build as is. Gonna be interesting!!!

I just chatted with my SA about my timeline and list of events....I'm a bit disappointed, but I suppose it's the price to pay for a MY2022 GTS 4.0. Here's my current timeline and will hopefully will be helpful to others. I know I won't be one of the first, but the waiting still stinks as it will be almost 7 months from Allocation to estimated arrival. Most people I've seen have a couple weeks between their lock date and the date the vehicle enters the bodyshop, so maybe the timeline will shrink some, but I'm not going to count on it....it just seems like a long time, I suppose with chip shortages and the con rod issue that isn't helping my cause either.

V200 - Allocation Confirmed - 4/1 I got my allocation, and pretty much went V200 here for Oct 29th arrival to Northern US
V250 - Vehicle Fixed - 7/30/2021 Expected Date states 8/27/2021 (not sure what the expected date is, but seems a long time between my lock date and build date
V260 - Enter Body Shop - 9/03/2021 Expected Date 9/03/2021
V270 - Vehicle Exit Production - 9/3/2021 Expected Date 9/10/2021
V280 - Vehicle entry to CT assembly - 9/3/2021 Expected Date 9/10/2021
V290 - Vehicle exit of CT assembly - 9/10/2021 Expected Date 9/10/2021
V300 - Vehicle Completion - 9/10/2021 Expected Date 9/10/2021
V331 - Entry port Emden - 9/10/2021 Expected Date 9/17/2021
V332 - Exit port Emden - 9/24/2021 Expected Date 10/1/2021
U002 - Entry Port Houston - 10/22/2021 Expected Date 10/22/2021
U003 - Exit Port Houston - 10/22/2021Expected Date 10/22/2021
Estimated Arrival date is 10/29/2021.

I think your expected date for V250 (8/27) must be the right date. My V250 planned and expected are both 7/2 and V260 is a week later 7/9 planned and expected. So 1 week between V250 and V260 sounds about right.

Woke up Sunday by a phone call from my most wonderful Porsche friend and got a V200 allocation for MY2022 Spyder. Did the build sheet and deposit yesterday at the dealership. No discounts but also wasn’t going to ask for one. I feel really blessed to have been given the opportunity. Very excited.

I'm used to seeing a week or two between V250 and V260, but this is a month, 5 weeks from end end of July to beginning of Sept.

probably because of the shut-down in August???

My lock date os 07/11, but my V250 is 8/27.

Looks like I will be one of the first to start getting produced when they come back from vacation. Hopefully that means they will be all well and rested and I will get a "good" one, LOL

What's the difference between Expected and Actual if they are both future dates?

Lol, I had the same question for me SA. It went unanswered. Maybe “adjusted” would be the word to use.
