You can get MSRP if you don't live in California. I am not joking, but that seems to be the only way.
MSRP doesn't matter if you're just on a list. I couldn't get an allocation in Houston with or without an ADM. And I don't consider North Houston's policy of "buy this used car for 20k over, then maybe you'll get an allocation at MSRP" to be any different than just paying an ADM.
I can't even tell you how many of the dealers that I called said they would sell to me as long as I didn't live in California. The first time, I thought maybe the guy got beat up at the Coliseum after an SC game or something, but it was nearly every single one of them.

I have not seen nor heard anything that would rebut that presumption. Not even a 35 year relationship (although not a prior purchase relationship) helped me. I was happy to not have to pay $25K over. It's nuts. I was hoping to make $15K on my C8 Vette but those prices have softened considerably and I'm getting no interest on a nicely optioned car. Oh well.

People keep saying that, but I don't buy into that. First, the dealers charging ADM didn't have allocations either. They were also going to put me on a list. Second, I am now, not very far down on that list and expect to be called in the next 2 months. The other guys on here who did the same thing I did already have their cars in production.
She's alive! Hopefully she can make it onto the Grand Legacy. Otherwise it's another few weeks sitting in Emden.
Only one pic. Others have gotten three. Thankful for the one but would love to have others.
I just noticed something. The third brake light doesn't appear to be body colored. Is that correct? I don't recall an option to configure it in any certain way. Unless it's part of the "roll bars in body color" option that I did not select.
EDIT: I just reviewed several other posts above and their third brake light is also black. Any guesses?

looks great and yes the brake light bar is black , when you take delivery like to see some pics especially of the wheels
Hmm, that's a change from my 981 Spyder that had a matching Carrara White third brake light. I'll see how I like the black and maybe have it painted if I don't care for it.
I anticipate some stripes being added, similar to my 981, so I'll have to take it all in at one time and see what's what.
Will do on the pics. Hoping for late April or early May.
I'm also thinking about a rocker graphic like my 981 as well, but the shape of the rockers on the 718 don't seem to lend themselves to the graphic quite as easily.

Something else I noticed is that the headlight washer nozzles are black and not painted body color as I configured the build and as shown on the TYD application. Must be something they do after the fact? The XUB option is listed in the build. Hmm…

someone the other day brought that up as well. The car was red if you go looking for pics to find the post. Hopefully that means they are done at a later time and not two instances of mistakes.
edit: found it. Post #3965. I’m on mobile and about to take my little kid for a stroll so I can’t link it now, sorry.
As much as I hate to use v codes, I was told today by my SA that my car went v220, "selected for production". Whatever that means. It's supposed to go fixed on 3/25 after countless moves back.

There are probably a hundred peeps lurking here who wish they had a 718 on order with a V-code at V220. So, enjoy the good fortune!
"Selected for Production" is Zuff-speak for "Selected for shear joy in the near future".
Time to visit the thread on things you can buy to personalize your car.

My nozzles were black in the pictures but I optioned them to be body colored. My car just got to the dealership and the nozzles are body color. I can confirm that they do get painted later, after the pictures. So don’t worry!
