Because new sport car sales are often done by people chasing numbers (fastest, most power, latest tech, most tech, etc) as people looking for used cars which care little about numbers and more about feel and enjoyment don't have any interest in it.

I agree. 992 were designed with hybridization in mind. I know they are trying to postpone full EV for 911s for as long as they can…
Nothing against EVs, but these are really in their nascent. They will crack the code in developing an EV that is emotional in at some point, hopefully sooner rather than later… in any case, let’s enjoy NAs while we can 👍 … if the last two years or the last month meant anything is that tomorrow is not promised to anyone….
I think this is potentially GREAT news.
All the articles I saw on this topic previously stated that the production line conversion for the electric 718 replacement would take place for a model to be released in calendar year 2023.
However, this article is pointing to a summer of 2024 as the earliest start of producton of the replacement as a model year 2025.

That's an interesting take, but I agree probably a correct one. I can see initial sales take off so people with money want to have a new shiny toy to show off, as the novelty wears off, they will move to other things. Fewer people will want these disposable cars full of questionable and lousy "tech" on the 2nd hand market (this I think will be a problem for current ICE... I like 718 is somewhat behind in tech department). Long live ICE porsches! Water cooled ICEs will be even more like air cooled 911s are to the later versions...
Happen to know which vessel is next for San Diego? I'm hoping to be on it.
EDIT: Never mind. I found the chart above. It looks like the Grand Legacy in about a week or so and then it's the Glovis Champion and Antares Leader in early April.

Looks like you found it. What's interesting is that Glovis Comet showed up as a TBD carrier on one sheet but does not get listed even on Glovis's own schedules, while the others in their fleet do. I would hazard a guess this is all coming from trying to add back capacity since they are down a ship.
When in relation to your Production Complete 8 notification did you receive the photos?
Also, were they sent to you by email?
I ask because my car was completed one or two days ago and I haven't received anything yet.
My car was completed a month ago and they just updated it today with the pictures. In the US you might get it quicker, just keep checking TYD and it’s usually update on Friday

I got my vin few weeks back, eventually you will get it. Just refresh TYD every Friday. I know is a pain

My Spyder was a May 2021 build. I wonder if they have pics on file that I could request? I never did receive anything like this but would love it.
Yes it is super nice to have but I highly doubt you could get it back. Per PCNA customer service, once the car in stage three and have shipped, the plant won’t be able to produce the pictures.
I actually emailed them and asked specifically for that lol pictures.’
