For those of us with cars on the Siem Cicero coming into the Port of Houston: I just received notification from MarineTraffic that it is back in range for tracking as it approaches its destination. It is currently scheduled to dock at the VW offloading facility at around 8am tomorrow morning. I'm surprised how far up the Houston Ship Channel (aka Buffalo Bayou) it has to go.

Maybe we're establishing a new trend. Most Ferrari's are red for example - as they should be. Most 2022 4.0s will be Shark Blue.
But yeah, I am surely surprised that so many other people here have as good a taste in colors as I do
And I hope to be hand's/eye's on it soon! The Siem Cicero arrives in port in Houston tomorrow morning... so hopefully the car has all of its fingers and toes and will show up in Austin within another couple of days.

Congrats on the "almost" delivery. I have many months to wait here in the room....

Carmine red is an excellent choice. Had it been available on the Spyder I would have had a difficult time NOT choosing it. But Shark Blur it is!!

My current build.
Told I am 1st in line for an Oct. Allocation. So guessing November lock, March ish delivery. Am I way off? My build: http://www.porsche-code.com/PNWYN8T4
Comments welcome. I think, I am almost done making changes. LOL The wait will be painful.
In California this week, managed to grab a Mustang at Hertz. Did a run up to the Lick Observatory near Santa Clara. Very fun but wish I had my CGTS. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/37.3...7038!3e0?hl=en

I like the Shark Blue. But if I do it we will all be Blue. I think I will stay with Carmine. Will let me stand out amongst all the Blue. LOL

i think your way off on the time line. If you get an October Allocation, it still may not lock for several months and will likely be spread out given the production contraints going on right now.
My allocation was likely in my dealers hands in June and possibly earlier. I secured it in the middle of July. My build does not lock until 10/7 and my delivery is not expected until Jan 7 on the west coast.
Not trying to burst your bubble but just trying to help set realistic expectations. I hope yours is sooner.

As for your build, I think you definitely want to consider the GTS Interior package as your current build essentially has all of the components separately. The GTS Interior package (priced at $2160 + $3,690 = $5850) includes extended deviated stitching with chalk being an option - the other being carmine red which would match your interior, the carbon fiber trim, seat belts, GTS on the headrests, and red tachometer. My guess is that you really don't want the race-tex but I feel it matches well with the sports car concept of the GTS as it's not a luxury car. I'd also consider going 2-way instead of the 18-way as the seats will be the same just without all the extraneous adjustments. It's a pretty hefty upgrade but some will say they are critical. For the exterior, I like the subtle look of the satin black Porsche logo. I'd also get rid of the smartphone compartment since I doubt the "optimized reception and batter-savings" will be worth $560. The car comes with Apple Carplay already. A lot of these are personal choices but you asked for feedback! I had an initial build similar to yours and after a lot of reading, I ended up with these changes. Hope it helps.

Took delivery of my 2022 CGTS this afternoon at Porsche North Houston. The ppf/tint work they did was perfect, edges wrapped etc. Drove the hour home in the rain so pictures reflect that. Coming from a 991.1S the CGTS seemed quick and responsive. Very pleased, well worth the wait.

Thanks for this info! Asked my SA and my car is apparently supposed to be loaded on Oct 1, but he doesn't know the ship yet. Since it's heading to Benicia, I assume it will be on the RCC EUROPE.

I’m out!
Took delivery of my CGTS 4.0 last week on 09/25! What a great feeling. First received my allocation on 04/01, so it has been about a 6 month wait. It was so worth it. Car is currently getting front end PPF, window tints and full body ceramic coat. Can’t wait to get it back and start driving. Good luck to all of you that are still waiting!!
