I got to say after a few days I can say that this was a good purchase, both the 718 in general and this specific configuration. It's a joy to drive.
Few thoughts:
- The car is stiff yet not uncomfortable on the bumpy polish roads, it is quite an achievement.
- Cylinder deactivation sounds atrocious in the cabin, never gonna use that.
- Burmeister is LOUD, clearly made for the top down driving as it overpowers even the strongest wind noise.
- I am slowing down the traffic.. people are going at half the speed looking at this little car. I am getting a little bit more attention than i'd like haha. No surprise anyway, pretty much everything else on the roads is a white/black/gray suv/compact so this is quite a novelty.
- I got a few thumbs up and rev requests in few hours of driving this thing
- Even in the breaking in period it's fun to drive though i accidentally went over 5000 a couple of times today but when you're overtaking or avoiding an accident it's hard to think about keeping revs low
- Carrera wheels look like they're too dark in photos but in reality it's a perfect match.

Great car, and congrats.
Those are Satin Platinum wheels, yes? Can you post a few more pix of them? Because the configurator shows them darker than yours without the polished faces on the edges.
I'm thinking your wheels on a chalk car would have a great look, but if the configurator shows them accurately? I dunno......

See, that's the thing - they're not! They are standard Carrera Sport rims, in reality (not on photos) they look a lot closer to the configurator which can be a little confusing.
More Shark blue Spyder. Makes me glad I went with black wheels.
Same here. I know it’s an unpopular opinion but I think the sport seats look better in the Spyder as well. I think the buckets look awesome in the GT4.

Drove 950 miles in the last 36 hours... oof this is just today (about 90% of the miles were on curvy roads!)gotta set my clock to non german time haha
These pics I took at a gas station under cool lighting makes the color appear accurate on my crappy phone
Its a really good looking car in person, gets tons of compliments
Ill show you the dope interior I picked tomorrow when its sunny, it looks fantastic!
I went with silver wheels on my Shark Blue build since it was a no cost option. The wheels will come off and be replaced with a set of Forgelines before I take the car home.
I still have these in the garage from my Carmine GT4. Too bad Carmine isn’t an option on the 982.

I think the pic of the car I posted above would just need red calipers to give the wheels some sort of contrast...I do think it would help anyway.
On a Carmine Red note....I have a friend waiting for an allocation and he even looked into it as a PTS option...it is not availble there either. It is a beautiful color for sure!!!!...and really must be seen in erson to really be appreciated.
Lots of pics coming in
I did the extended Deviated stitching in speed blue with the Carbon fiber sills/trim and it looks great! Let me know if you want any other photos specifically.
Smegman, the Speed Blue on the inside looks great, had I known how good it looked, I might have gone with that color instead of my Chalk stitching. My exterior is going to be GB, but my interior is going to be Chalk leather. the SB would have popped a lot more on the inside with the light leather and black dashboard...oh well! I was going to go GB, then saw the GT3, and loved the SB, but having a very metallic color currently, I descented back to the GB. Beautiful spec on the inside, I guess I'll have to do what IL_Pete did and sell it to get the right spec now LOL.
