Kudo's to those that go for it when it comes to the most visible feature of these cars, IMHO I think both of these cars will turn heads for all of the right reasons!

Congrats! And thanks for posting. Was on the fence if I should go for silver wheels or platinum. Great to see the real deal!

Notice how it changes in sunlight on the front lip. I initially spec'd SB, but despite loving the colour, after looking at the VW equivalent in person I decided against it. For me SB was too flat and hides the dimensionality of curves on the car, which is perhaps subjective. Awesome colour though.

If you want to see dimension, one of the silvers is great, no doubt. How we perceive color is similar to how we taste food. Of course we all like to share our opinions, but I wouldn’t tell a friend that their Limburger stinks and then say it looks delicious.

I personally think it is way better than I had imagined. That GTS looks FANTASTIC! And I think the Spyder will look just as good or better(depending on your choice of cars). Roadrunner, the lines of the Spyder will be just fine and fully represented in this color. Oddly, the most popular car colors in general(black and red) are the ones that seem to hide the lines of the Spyder. They still look great. But it is interesting to note that they are not popular colors on the Spyder....whereas something like yellow, which is not generally popular, looks amazing. Even silver...which in my opinion is generally blah, looks amazing on the Spyder. Of course I have not seen Shark Blue in person but the more pictures that come out, the more I drool. I am very glad I did not bail on the color. Like someone said, if you're gonna be a bear, you may as well be a grizzly!!! It definitely makes a statement!

Of course it just landed in the Port of Houston TODAY. And of course there will be a tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico early next week as the car sits for FIVE WEEKS.......serenity now....serenity now....serenity now!!!

Color looks great....but not as great as Riviera Blue. Sorry but I'm biased.

So now, when people see my car for the first time, the question will be "is your car Riviera Blue, Mexico Blue, Miami Blue, (and now) or Shark Blue?

I actually haven't had anybody ask me if it's Voodoo yet. I've seen Voodoo in person and it's way too dark to be mixed up with Riviera Blue. I haven't seen Shark Blue in person but since it's now offered and isn't PTS, I suspect I will get asked a lot if it's SB. SB does seem to be closer to Voodoo Blue; more on the darker side of the bright blue spectrum whereas RB is more on the lighter side of the bright blue spectrum.

I think Shark Blue could be pretty easily confused with Voodoo. They're very similar and unless you see them side-by-side it might be hard to distinguish them. Voodoo has been my favorite Porsche blue since the first time I saw it, but I think I'd feel shortchanged if I had put down PTS money for Voodoo only for Shark to come now as a $2500 option.

Riviera is definitely different though. Anyone asking if it's SB probably hasn't seen anything beyond configurator renderings of Shark.

Here's a fairly fresh video of a GT3 in Shark Blue and blue stitching along with with PCCBs under silver wheels. Still having trouble finding GT4 Shark Blue footage. The earlier GT3 video I had found didn't have great lighting conditions. This one still has cloudy skies but is brighter than the previous one.
I'm thinking the camera image is a little overbought and washing it out just a little.

Thanks for sharing Storm!!! What I also noticed is something I did. Blacked out the “PORSCHE” on the rear. It looks badass. I was going for a black theme on the outside. Door handles. Washers. And logo. Calipers too although those will be painted yellow at some point.

I guess we must be kindred spirits. I also ordered the blacked out logo, door handles, and stuck with the black washer nozzles since I thought they fit in fine with the blue/black theme. I stopped the black trend by going the the platinum satin wheels though, and went ahead and splurged on the PCCBs. I agree the yellow contrasts nicely with the blue.
I guess we'll look like twins if we ever end up in a Texas drive together.

I'm having the same dilemma. Ordered yellow and think it looks amazing especially T trim with Agate Gray trim but the Blue looks good to. I don't think it will go as well with the T trim options and the side decal. I think I am leaning toward blue by 1% just because it's a new less comon color but I don't think it's $2600 better than Race Yellow. If they were the same price or even $600 maybe blue, but just not sure it's that much better than Yellow......????
