Wow, such a sensitive clap back from what I consider to a very benign post. I was offering constructive advice after members likened this thread to FB. What exactly was so inflaming? I also said they were my views and not mod related.

I must admit that I couldn’t make it through the response, but gather the jist is to prove his statements are factual. Believe that says more about the OP than RL as I have never seen anyone question someone’s purchase on here.

Relax and continue on. I look forward to the next picture of Matt Giglio to confirm he’s not imaginary.

Finally, I did ask you in a thread not to double post and bump both. I have never PM’d you. But you did PM me after that post.

Thumbs up I just received the following news Up-Date from Chris Marlin ...

Saturday,

Guys things are definitely happening even if at a slow pace.

I've never met in person Chris Marlin and probably won't.
But I can say that he is on top of his game guys.
He has kept me in the loop on my GT4 progress at his business and his buddies next door, Tru Shine (Eric Witt) even.

Chris Marlin, owner of Marlins Auto Detailing message to me below.
The side decals shipped a
week and a 1/2 ago so they
should be arriving at any time.

He also sent the following pictures below.
Guys I am 100% totally in, I love the way the High-Gloss Black "PORSCHE" Graphic Looks against the Brilliant Racing-Yellow.

Can't wait to see the High-Gloss Black Side-Graphics that's going to be so freaking KILLER.

.

This is getting good guys,
Terry

I have to admit that I really think that Porsche script looks really cool across the spoiler. I’ve thought about borrowing your idea.

all in all, I think the totality of your mods are tasteful.

as far as should you have ordered PCCB. Too be honest, I didn’t get to spec my car and PCCB is the one option that I really wish that I had. I agree that ceramic brakes aren’t needed on the street, but reducing unsprung weight would probably slightly improve everything that you feel when driving the car.

Terry, can you tell me what vendor the PORSCHE vinyl was ordered from? I've seen a bunch online that don't look right but yours looks great. Thanks! And hoping you get to finally drive your car soon!

I didn't go overboard on the things I did on the GT4.
I did want the Gloss Black graphics as I wanted to break-up the Brilliant Racing Yellow and I think the Black Graphics accomplish that.

I read you on the Porsche PCCB option.
And yes I pondered that option many-many times and finally decided to just do the aftermarket Ceramic-Brake-Pads to help control excessive-brake-dust.
I can see why you would want those and for multiple benefits of having them.

It's one of the options I struggled with too because I plan to track my car a lot, but in the end I'm glad I did. I put on my new BBS FI-R wheels and expected a little bit of break dust after driving, but I didn't realize there wouldn't be any. The inside of my silver wheels are as clean as when I put them on!

I agree with all that are going to Track their Porsche cars some.
May as well get the PCCB option.

In my case and I don't think I ever posted this but this is actually why I considered them below.
Simply because the Yellow PCCB would match or come close to matching the Racing-Yellow on mine.
But at $8,000.00 US dollars I passed and honestly guys I really don't think I'll miss them.
(Not for street use that is)

Hi Terry I look forward to seeing your final product

I am just very curious, if you don't mind me asking, as you are around my dad's age, & retired, on what basis do banks approve car loans ? Also, having lived & worked in several continents ( except US) I can't imagine anywhere else the "Porsche dealer" would let anyone touch the car prior to the loan approved. Having said that, I really respect your patience as I took my car within hours of arrival at the dealer's.

I am sure Terry has his own answer but I retired very young. 45. High credit score. Dozens of cars paid off. I am technically unemployed but still finance cars with no issues.

Also if you read an earlier post from Terry, he went to his own bank for the loan.

Looking at PCCBs or a Radi-CAL brake kit I decided to go with the RadI-CAL brake kit. $8,000 vs. $11,000 for the complete RadI-CAL KIT minus pads. Assuming you get about a 50% return on either option you’re at a $1500 delta. Damage one PCCB and it’s a $10,000 trip to your dealer. Ceramic coat your wheels and use a detail spray with a couple of junk microfiber towels and it isn’t much of an issue to keep your wheels clean. Need to check/change pads, you won’t be cursing your fixed bridge calipers.

bubbledragon,

If I am correct your in Hong Kong.
Okay let me see if I can answer you per your questions in the order you ask ^^^

I am just very curious, if you don't mind me asking, as you are around my dad's age, & retired, on what basis do banks approve car loans ?
Keep in mind my replies all are from the USA and where I live in the USA.
(I haven't a clue what other Countries do regarding Bank-Car-Loans)
These answers are only about me/us not anything to do with anyone else and I will give you factual replies per your inquires .........
1st off as you have noted I'm a 76 year old male and married to Cathy for plus 38-years with no-children.
I've been doing cars since the mid 60's so Lots & lots and lots of car loans over all those years.
As in the hundreds and hundreds buddy.
Currently where I live we would probably be considered either in the Very High Middle-Class.
Or wealthy according to who was doing the looking at us as a married couple.

Next we have done banking with Bank of America including our home for like 40-years or so.
Lots & lots of Banking History with Bank of America.
That ^^^ matters because we are worth a million dollars plus with Zero-Debt.
This GT4 is somewhere around a cost of say $130,000.00 US dollars or so.
Read closely so you actually understand what I'm saying next.
We need to have something that's called (Revolving-Credit) here in the USA and the reason it's important is for acquiring Loans.
That's how we maintain our Mutual-Credit-Rating which is Excellent and based on Long-Term Revolving Credit which comes from Multiple-Credit-Bureaus.
But, since we have No-Debt then we need something that has Revolving-credit so we are going to use the 2021 Porsche GT4 loan for that purpose.
Remember what I said above ^^^ on the GT4 being $130K or so dollars ???
We are only financing $20K of that $130K plus GT4 with Bank of America so we will have Long-Term revolving credit.
We are doing 72-months at 2.14% and that makes the monthly note/payment $200 and some dollars per month.
This loan was done in person at our local Bank of America and as soon as our Loan Officer submitted the GT4 loan.
It was instantly approved in seconds ..............
I hope the above ^^^ gives you an understanding about us and a Bank-Car-Loan.

Also, having lived & worked in several continents ( except US) I can't imagine anywhere else the "Porsche dealer" would let anyone touch the car prior to the loan approved.
Okay this question ^^^ also requires a more involved reply than a few simple comments.
At the end of my working career I worked for multiple New car Dealerships for over 16-years.
In doing that plus me acquiring all the vast majority of vehicles that I mentioned to you above since the Mid 60's.
I know or have known a heck of a lot of Owners, GMs (General Managers), GSM (General Sales Managers), and of course salesman over all the years.
Having said the above ^^^ this is why I mention that to you.
I personally know one of the GM (General Manager's) that was part of the GT4 process.
Because I worked with him years and years ago.
Plus I have purchased from him also as the years have rolled by.
That ^^^ being said I received some rather Huge-Favors on the GT4 and what I wanted done and handled by the Porsche Dealership as you might have seen & read on this Dedicated Thread ???
And that list of things is pretty darn involved and extensive or I feel like it is/was.

Plus by me being well known by other Business owners I sent a buddy over to the Porsche of Nashville to purchase an SUV.
That buddy cut a check for that SUV which was plus $140K US Dollars.
Porsche of Nashville had to do nothing at all to receive that Business but place the order.
So, I take care of those that take care of me and the above ^^^ is an example.
In return I asked for not a single penny for sending my buddy to them.
Also, I should mention that when I actually placed my order with Porsche of Nashville they had $50,000.00 US Dollars of my/our monies since December 2020.
As you have read ^^^ there are sometimes a lot of unseen things that enter into a deal that outsiders don't ever see.
I hope the above ^^^ replies to you now actually give you a Much-much broader understanding of how some things take place that appear on the Front-End to possibly NOT make sense.

Having said that, I really respect your patience as I took my car within hours of arrival at the dealer's.
I appear to have an over abundance of patience but actually ............
In reality I simply want my GT4 when I take delivery to be 100% complete as I want it so I have No-Choice but to Stay-Calm and wait.

Yes, we are looking forward to taking delivery of the GT4,
Terry & Cathy Honaker
