I would not recommend it, unless you care about what people do every minute of their dreary lives. I avoid those but our PCA region has a FB page as well as a group for my Harley model. Forums like this one are much better IMO.

Keep in mind that back in December 2020 when I placed the order Porsche of Nashville (Sonic Automotive Group) got $50,000.00 US dollars of my money.
The GM (Cody Bender) at Porsche of Nashville did and has allowed me to have all the changes, up-dates, modifications done.
I also didn't spring things on Cody after I placed the order .........
All the things were discussed on the (Front-End) that I wanted done so No-Surprises for anyone at Porsche of Nashville.
I have No-Doubt I'm the exception and I (Opinion) have No-Doubt I'll be the last Client he does that for.
The reason I say the above ^^^ is because so many things have intervened on delaying the GT4 to be completed.
No one's fault just all sorts of things that as I said above have delayed the completed GT4 and still is delaying it.
While I find all this posting of pics of boxes a bit odd,
I find Terry’s enthusiasm inspiring and I am truly hoping that he and his wife love this car.
Not just for him but for everyone who has clicked on this thread over the last few months.
Terry, I still think you should have gotten the PCCBs, but I truly hope you love this car. I sure love mine.

So lets agree to disagree on how I choose to post.
My opinion is as I have said before regarding Rennlist Internet Site and what's discussed or posted including pictures.
What one person finds strange another person might very well find informative.
Text only to me is boring ...........
I choose to post Lots & lots of pictures and I think they add a lot more to this thread than simply me adding endless text.
This Internet Site would be a boring place buddy if everyone of us did everything exactly the same and we all had exactly the exact same Porsche cars.
Lastly as this is now possibly coming across as me preaching.
All Rennlist members have a choice to read what another member post or simply skip what to them is boring and useless.
And I'm not referring to Blocking a Member I'm simply saying if a member clicks on a post and it's boring to them skip it.
Terry, I still think you should have gotten the PCCBs,
But ..............
I'm flexible so let me add this as just maybe I haven't mentioned this in the past.
I decided not to do either the LWBS or PCCB options (LWBS $5,900 & PCCB $8,000.00) for a total of approximately $14,000.00 US dollars.
I took those monies and did everything I wanted on my GT4 which luckily for me didn't cost $14,000.00 US dollars.
So to me my decision on not going with those options made perfect sense for a street driven only GT4 as well as those two (2) options cost.
I find Terry’s enthusiasm inspiring and I am truly hoping that he and his wife love this car.
Not just for him but for everyone who has clicked on this thread over the last few months.

I'm not going to state as a fact that I'm going to instantly fall in love with the GT4 as to me that's crazy.
I haven't even sat in a GT4 much less driven one with or without the 2021 optional PDK.
Since this is not anything all that new to me on ordering a car without driving it 1st.
And especially higher-end performance cars below is an example that did actually SURPRISE me ..............
A new ZR1 Corvette with the Lotus double overhead cam engine built by Mercury Marine.
My opinion was it was NOT all that Fast at all.
It was a 6-speed manual transmission car.
The top gears were virtually useless !!!
Beautiful Machine guys but certainly not what one would be thinking it was going to be for what it actually was.
With the above ^^^ example given what do I think in regards to the GT4 ???
Is the engine, Ticking/Clicking, sounds going to be overwhelming ???
Is the stock exhaust going to be so Very-very disappointing ???
Is the cabin noise going to totally drown-out the Bose optional audio system ???
Is the Bose Audio System going to be disappointing based on Rennlist members comments ???
Is it going to be Fast enough based on some Rennlist members comments ???
Well it ain't going to be long and I will then have 1st hand knowledge.
Per an Attorney & my State Farm Insurance Company agent both said .........
Terry once you actually purchase the Porsche GT4 it is instantly your's and anything that happens to it it is your Total-Responsibility both Financially & Legally.
So, guys I chose to not pay for it up front.
No comment since Bob your a Moderator.
Oh I think I get the drift so I'll pass on commenting.

Terry,
No one on here wants to diminish your awesome enthusiasm for your purchase/GT4.
However, just a friendly reminder that this section is titled Porsche Technical Discussion Areas GTS 4.0/GT4/Spyder/25th Anniversary --- so keep it punchy and more on point. Looking for an update and seeing a picture of a box/invoice is not optimum.
You could also consider breaking out some of your projects into separate threads so that your experience and results are more easily searchable in the future.
Anyway, just some thoughts -- certainly not any moderator direction. Hope you get your car soon!

Hey guys,
I, for one, love the way Terry posts, both the way he writes and the numerous photos.
He makes things entertaining and shares lots of information.
I can barely wait to see his posts after he receives the car and starts reporting on driving it.
My guess is we will get as much, maybe more, than from one of the car magazine articles.
Terry also gives his reasons for doing things and is open to any and all questions.
The best indicator of how much people like what Terry is doing is to just look at his thread count.
Compare that to other threads and the verdict is clear.
Cheers,
Tom

IMO it is probably best if he posts in this one thread so we don't wind up with multiple ones like this.

Terry, we love this thread - you keep doing what you do! @TXshaggy pretty much 90% of whats on RL is completely off point and useless, if you havent noticed, including some of your drivel. I think by now every one knows and loves what the are getting on Terry's posts/this thread and I for one search for them everytime I log on. So please stop with the lecturing...

Hey guys I carefully read all your comments above ^^^
I could easily reply to each of you but have decided to take a different approach.
You know I have waited to comment on TXshaggy's comments and the reason is I have learned it's better to Calm one's butt down and carefully Think before jumping the gun and possibly say things you will regret later.
Reminds me of what experienced people say regarding E-Mails and sending them, (Think carefully BEFORE you touch the SEND-BTN.)
With the above being said ^^^
I think it's time, possibly past time that I clarify how and why I post on any internet site.
For those that are not all that familiar with internet sites read below what I say and share with you about them as what I say is Factual not my Opinion.
As the years have gone by and I have been on so many internet sites as a Moderator and also a Super-Moderator and had friends that actual Set-Up internet sites I've learned the following.
1st off everyone don't ever think that when you send a PM to another member it's actually PRIVATE trust me, it's damn sure NOT.
Any Administrator can go in and read what was said on any PM between members.
Usually and I did say usually Moderators cannot do that ONLY Administrators have that Privilege as dictated in the Software/Programming of the Internet-Site.
So, before you get to Crazy on a PM just keep in the back of your mind what I just shared above ^^^
Note* I have actually seen members BANNED from what was said in PMs which the members thought were Private.
And for those once again that are not all that familiar with internet sites keep reading.
Here's one for the Record-Books .............
Who would ever in a million years ever think that there are individuals sometimes on internet sites that do the following.
They give Advise, they are All-Knowing, Specialist on any Given-Subject, and seem to have had everything one can imagine as if they were a Billionaire.
That's right people and then one day it comes out that guess what ???
They don't only Not have that Car, Boat, Home Theater Gear, Motorcycle or anything because .........
There actually a kid or young adult simply messing with the other members on any given internet site but Unfortunately members, some members thought they were for real.
And that ^^^ now brings us to why I do things the way I do .....
Moving on ..............
Regarding myself and my way of Posting .............
Guys come on do you Really-really think I was simply Posting pictures of a Box or Boxes for no reason at all ???
And the above brings me to my "Apology" to all of you ^^^
I should have from the very beginning explained why I do as I do on this Rennlist.com Internet Site in regards to Posting.
I am what's referred to as a Die-Hard-Car-Guy and sometimes I have been referred to lovingly as a Car-*****. LOL !!!
Because over the years I went through cars/vehicles so frequently I knew every Dealers GM, GSM, etc. in person.
That covered Domestics as well as European car dealers and also Motorcycle Dealers as I was also heavily into them at the same time.
Now with that said ^^^
The people that know and follow me and my Craziness 100% Trust me and what I say, Fact guys.
But on a new Internet site like Rennlist.com I'm not known at all so I should have taken the time to explain the following and for that I do Apology to one and all including TXshaggy.
The pictures I post have a meaning they are not just pictures of some at random box or boxes guys.
I post pictures to show that what I say and discuss is Factual not me just running my mouth with nothing Solid to back-up what I say.
Okay next ............
Being a guy that's retired I have the time to take pictures and of course post pictures that are sent to me if they apply to my GT4.
And if those pictures actually mean something .............
Examples below .........
In general conversation maybe some of you following this thread I started and have kept going have noticed the following.
I don't intentionally Discredited other Rennlist members for their opinions.
I don't Argue with other Rennlist members.
I don't tell other Rennlist members to do as I do.
I don't tell other Rennlist members what to spend their monies on.
But .............
I will take the time to give in-depth explanations as to why I do what I do with actually realizing that more than likely No-Matter how Solid my Reasoning is, it doesn't Alter or Change the other Rennlist members mind/minds at all.
I will openly discuss anything about my GT4 if it's not confidential like some pricing.
I'll even try again to explain why I made a decision even after already explaining that several times before.
The reason I don't spread things I do over on separate threads is simple.
1st off I did do that once and of course immediately TXshaggy send me a PM and said don't do Double-Posting.
So, to me I post here on this 1-Dedicated Thread and for my Friends and those on Rennlist interested I know will come here to see and read what's new.
That way ^^^ no one has to be Bored by me posting all over Rennlist and really that's the way it should be for all concerned.
If anyone wants to see what I'm doing they know where to look and for those that could care less then obviously they want be on this Dedicated Thread.
Wrap-Up ...........
We all know that here on Rennlist there is on a daily basis all sorts of things discussed, bitched about, argued over, debated, that seriously amount to nothing in some cases.
So, to come here and say to me I'm Off-Topic and Not posting what I should is Really-really "Hilarious" if one stops and considers/thinks about all the other Crazy things Posted Daily.
If I'm going to be Restricted to what I post on this 1-dedicated thread which is all about my GT4 then I'm going to reconsider my involvement here.
At least my content is about a Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 or in some cases replying to members on my other cars etc. over the years.
Peace everyone,
Terry

@tigerhonaker Carry on and just keep doing what you're doing. I think a lot of people are enjoying your thread. It's nice to read stuff like this vs people bickering about PDK vs 6MT, PCCB vs steel, rear engine vs mid engine.
