MY21 GT Cars Delayed?

Honestly I wouldn't mind trying the new Dunlops. Supposedly lots better than the first gen and better than the MPSC2s.
Which ever ones are on my plan is to take'em off and store'em in the basement. That is if the dealer can find me a set of PS4S. Right now the rears are very limited. My info is it takes a VIN and then dealer only gets 1 for replacement. GT4s don't have the option like Spyders so not sure they'll be able to pull it off.

Fingers crossed mine comes with Dunlop Race Maxx2. I’ve had two very good years with them on my RS.

How much did the dealer charge for the GPF install?

It is odd how few reviews there are of the PDK with the 4.0, and the ones that are available are garbage. I guess I'll find out when I pick mine up in 3 weeks.

With that being said, I just picked mine up yesterday and have about 250 miles of TX Hill Country cruising so if you have a specific question fire away.
Any experience with a Porsche PDK? If you’ve liked previous, you’ll like this one.
Loved my Gen 1 Spyder w/PDK...this is obviously several iterations better.
Intensity up to 4K is good. No comfort crawl, lightening quick, etc...Haven’t tried PDK Sport , but plenty of auto and manual.

Since these are just getting into private hands in EU/NA no surprise there isn’t much out there. The few on YouTube are pretty crappy and/or rain soaked under Porsche supervision.

In PDK sport is the shifting noticeably faster, more crisp, and are gears held all the way to redline?

Push harder and yes it is holding better. Minor acceleration it steps down super quick gear or two. Manual says it adapts to driving style and conditions such as throttle commands. Manual also says the clutch engages more “abruptly” with TC and or ESC off (bottom left two buttons on console). Neutral with both paddles pulled...done that.
I’ve only put a couple hundred miles on it so abiding by the run in regime so no PDK sport or mashing the throttle. Hope to have it run in complete in about a week. It revs incredibly quick and 4k comes in a blink. Gears are about 10% shorter than a manual.
In my Gen 1 Spyder Sport+ would hold until redline in auto, so suspect same in PDK sport. Owners manual says PDK Sport is “suitable for race track driving...”
If you want to hold a gear just go manual...been doing that a lot to vary RPMs.
Porsche Press release says this is a GT gearbox...all indications are that it is.

In regular drive mode, like other PDKs I’ve driven, it’s upshifting pretty quick at light throttle for economy.

Well, right now I "plan" on doing a run-in to 2000 miles. However, where the OM recommends 4000 rpm and below the entire time I'll plan on gradually expanding that to 5, 6, and 7 at some interval basis.
I have "accidentally" hit 5500 a couple of times on light acceleration in PDK auto -- the trans is really responsive!
Awe-some-o for sure....I'll start a separate thread for GT PDK discussion.
