I have a 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 on order. I visited my dealer yesterday and pre-traded my 718 Cayman S. I learned that my new car is built (has a VIN) and is V300. The car is expected to be at the dealership on 12/04. I am looking forward to that "howling" flat six again.

according to the internal order system - but it is not taking into account the hold on the '21's for emissions certification ....

Does anyone know if the car transfers to “dealer inventory (v900)” when it leaves the port on a truck, or when it actually arrives at the dealer location? It doesn’t make too much difference to me, as my dealer is within a couple of hours to the port even on a bad traffic day, but this may be important to others.

Hey Guys new to the Forums here. Just Ordered my Guards Red GTS 4.0 yesterday 10/22. I know there will be a wait for it obviously. Still excited it is the 1st Porsche I have ever ordered for myself. 6 speed, Gloss Black wing, Brushed Aluminum Black trim inside. Also had them put just 718 across the back. I have owned a few 60's 911 and 912 so I liked the old school theme. I will keep everyone updated on progress of the build.

You could call further afield and either take delivery at PEC LA or request a courtesy delivery to your favorite dealership ... I think you might find an allocation faster

992 forum has a few people saying that their SAs are telling them that their cars are on trucks getting to the dealership by the end of the week and that the CARB hold for those cars was being lifted. Since they had a revised date of 11/6, sounds like they might start getting them early. Hopefully this bodes well for us also.

My car is arriving in San Francisco (Benicia) early tomorrow morning, so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that I don't have to wait until 12/4.
