How rare are these cars?

I was one spyder out of 380(ish) cars at palooza this year. Numerous GT4s. I heard rumors of another spyder(?) there, but never saw it. If there are "a lot" out there, people aren't driving them.
There were as many 718 spyders as there were 918 spyders.

I am so curious how VINanalytics pulls their information about each VIN.
I mean I doubt they have working Porsche login credentials, so they are probably using some other technique.

I am thinking that production for 2022 was actually down quite a bit, as this is when supply chain issues actually caught up big time with production. Hence the skyrocketing values on the used market. My guess is around 1500 total for US market. In 2.5 years, I have seen 2 in the wild between the Northeast and Florida, and a total of 2 others at car meets. And I think one of those was the same car. That's it, and I am surprised.

Ive seen and know of maybe 15 or so GT4s and maybe 20 to 25 Spyders in LA over the past 2 years on the road and at meet ups. Which isnt a lot especially compared to 911's of which there are thousands and thousands... I know there are many more but dont see them...

I think the term rare needs a bit of context. Like what is it you are comparing it to? A Honda Civic? Then yeah these are rare. A Ferrari La Ferrari? Well these are a lot more common.
That being said I think both the GT4 and Spyder are both pretty rare cars if you consider the majority of cars around this price point for context. But it can also depend on area as well. The GT4 and Spyder are pretty rare around my area surprisingly. I'm in the SF Bay Area and I see mostly 911s, Taycans, and Macans. I've owned my fair share of "rare" cars, Honda S2000, M2 Competition, Supra (which is no longer rare but was when it came out), and Hyundai Veloster N (surprisingly rare car, I've only ever seen 2 out on the road besides mine).
Honestly, it really shouldn't be something you should worry or care about.

If someone is interested in this as I -
PCNA used to have two links that you could get build sheets from
https://admin.porschedealer.com/
and
https://www.dealer-site.com/
Both don't work anymore sadly. If someone manages to get a working method, please post here

I had shared these spreadsheets I made earlier in this thread, but I'll just share them again so people don't have to dig for them.
2020 Spyders: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LW3...ew?usp=sharing
2021 Spyders: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13D9...ew?usp=sharing
The 2020 list is complete for all North American market cars. The 2021 list is missing some cars in the range WP0CC2A82MS240651 to WP0CC2A88MS240749, and missing option details for many cars. The data is missing because VIN Analytics started paywalling their data for VINs that hadn't been looked up previously. Nevertheless, my understanding is that all cars in that VIN range exist.
North American production numbers for Spyders are thus:

There was a PTS Oslo blue 2022 Spyder at Palooza this year and last year (2021 and 2022).
along with a bunch of other relatively rare cars … it’s not often you see a Carrera GT and a 918 spider covered in snow

Aw, I missed the OB spyder (at Palooza). I was looking.
