BTW, if you don't want Alcantara visors, get leather. Just don't leave them plastic, which should be an embarrassment for Porsche, but little ever seems to be.
Here's a link to the alcantara sun visor sticker removal: https://rennlist.com/forums/gt4/9033...l-removal.html

So I opted to get the default plastic ones and ordered the Euro Alcantara ones to replace them so I don't have the stickers. Removed the stickers from my current 981 CGTS and there's still a faint outline of where the sticker was. Unfortunately, the visors have been on backorder for some time probably due to covid-19.

I think it's a personal thing, my earlier cars don't have that until my most recent one, like it a lot & will check that box for future build.

I’ll be removing the labels the first weekend I own the car. So hopefully before they have time to permanently damage the visors. We’ll see.

How much do they cost? Easy to install?

Also shows texture of standard dash fairly well. Not my Spyder, came across it for sale on the Internet.

IMHO, the dual zone just looks far better and is wife friendly!

As for the dash texture with the faux leather, sorry, it doesn't cut it for me.

Dual zone does look better as there are more buttons and less placeholder pieces of plastic. I will say, however, the regular climate control bars are appealing to me, given how much time I spend in Excel hah!

Ordered them from https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKUALC981C.html. Getting my car this Friday, but the visors are still backordered. There's some YouTube videos on the install and it looks really easy.

Seems ridiculous Porsche charges $770 more as an upgrade. Dual Climate control is pretty prevalent in 911 models, why not make it standard?
Is this standard in a Boxster, hence the "up-grade"?

A couple of things, $770? it's more here!

And why make it standard when they have customers willing to pay?

Not sure what you question is, your picture is of the previous version of PCM 3.1 (918), the MY2017+ 718 cars have PCM 4.0 (post #51 above), these are different systems.

Haha my bad, brain fart. Now I’m embarrassed, please delete your quote of my nonsense!

But honestly, I think we can all agree the 981 PCM actually looks more “modern.” 😉
