I'd recommend a "one change at a time" approach - change 1 variable and then evaluate the effects of that change ... its more of an experimental approach that allows the observer to isolate the
pro's and con's of a particular modification... YMMV
The only reason I would deviate from this approach would be cost optimization of the changes... e.g if I was replacing a clutch I would probably do a LWFW and LSD change at the same time
due to the cost of R&R of the transmission.

Larry,
I second your one-piece at a time approach. Have had the Soul OPF Delete pipes on for about 1000 miles and am completely satisfied. I won't be doing any other modifications.
The stock PSE programming doesn't bother me -- if I'm just running around town or en route to the hills valves closed below 3800 is perfect.
I think you'll find the range above 3800 quite satisfying, above 6000 it's quite spine tingling.

Matt has been a pleasure to work with. I just sent him a voice message of me giggling watching his last video he just put up haha. Skip to about 5:55 and leave it on loop with some good speakers

Anyone have any impressions of the Race Exhaust? Matt from OG really thought it was drony but I’m wondering if that’s just matter of gear selection when just driving normally. Is it truly that loud? If I’m going to spend more than half on OPF delete might as well get the Race exhaust and save 30lbs to boot!

Yes it is truly that loud, especially with no cat headers. I’m sorry but volume is probably one of the least important metrics to getting to that perfect noise. IMHO it’s more about the pitch and undertones. The boxer motor has a host of subtle undertones and harmonics depending on RPM and a great exhaust let’s those through without causing your ears to bleed.
if you could take the noise the Soul race system makes and dial it down 20dB it would be perfect. Sadly, that’s a very allusive target.

I’m starting to conclude that Headers, 200 cell cat, and OPF delete with OEM muffler combo is the ticket. I think Dundon has this but damn for $9K...I can buy a nice daily for that amount of $$$.

I think you are going in the right direction but I’m not going to do headers, too much potential for warranty issues later on but I’ve gotta say the Cargraphic system BGB is working with them on is tasty. I’m waiting till after the Rolex to get better acquainted with their shop GT4 while they are dialing in my suspension. Probably not fair since they’ve already put a tune on it and that’s a non starter for me as I can’t afford to not have the factory warranty.

It’s all relative. The PSE on my 981 BGTS was fine for me, never felt the need to spend any money on it. I’ll do the GPF delete with valve controller and see where I’m at. Contrary to popular belief the factory muffler design is actually pretty damn good so I’m not expecting to need to go beyond that.
Also, everyone needs to understand that a “race” exhaust, aka open pipes, behind the stock cats will be 2 to 3 times quieter than the same setup behind open headers. Remember, every 3dB doubles the volume.
