From the lead tech at PEC ATL, he told me it was cosmetic and didn’t affect the function. Of course there’s the element of telling me what I want to hear on my brand new car. That having been said, I didn’t get the sense anyone was bsing me while I was there and I do think they do care and want to find a resolution if there is one. I’m sure there’s a level of “we want the problem to go away” so that people stop complaining and costing Porsche money more than needing a fix since it doesn’t impact functionality.

We all ordered cars, endured the same financial stressors due to COVID, held up our end of the commitment, and purchased our cars.
Porsche needs to hold up their end of the bargain and deliver cars that meet their own typical QC expectations, let alone our expectations.
Its not unreasonable to expect cars delivered to us without questionable QC.

Ha! you don't even know the half of it with my car. Sitting at port for over two months. Really did a number on my car.
I'm still trying to get my paint sorted. Rail dust, etched clear coat from bird ****, caked on dirt under my rear window(sticky stuff, maybe excessive glue from install.)
I won't even get into all of the paint issues. I'm sure we all share if you look close. Runs, bubbles etc. Porsche QC is way, way low...
Is Covid a excuse for Porsche to let certain things go. NO! If that was the case. Porsche should tell us they aren't going to have the same
level of QC we all come to love about Porsche. They should be giving discounts to owners who had cars sit for months. BS. I'm pissed!
Sure, I'm picky. I detail my cars myself. So I see everything. Am I hyper focused on a car worth over $100k. YES!! We all are. And have the right to expect
a higher level of quality from a car like this. The white stripes are actually the least of my worries. It will be sorted by the technical bulletin.
Porsche I hope you're listening. You failed to deliver me a car in new condition.
DMK2, your in Los Angeles correct? We should have a GT4/Spyder meetup day sometime. Cheers!

Unfortunately, I am in TX but would have been happy to play!

Since the water-cooled era Porsche has been a profit machine.
Perceived quality, not true quality, is what they chase.
Rennlist is riddled with examples illustrating this in every generation of car since the philosophical shift.
Does that make us suckers? Sort of, unless we let our voices be heard and problems rectified.
Porsche has a history of ignoring individual customers, but they will listen to whole groups of customers. The GT4 community is very small and tight.
I say we give Porsche until the end of the year to make these radiators pretty, one way or another. IF not, we should put together an open letter for everyone to sign and send to PCNA and PAG.
If that doesn't work JD Power reviews will get it done.

I called PCNA when the car was sitting at port. I asked the phone rep " how are these cars being stored at port. Are they sitting outside in the elements?" The rep puts me on hold to go ask someone else. Rep gets back from hold and tells me "don't worry about it. The car is very well cared for". I asked "are they indoors?". Rep "yes the car is stored in a warehouse". Total BS!!! I never thought they would have lied to me. It doesn't take a genius to tell the car was sitting outside. $%^@ing bastards. I would have cancelled the car if told the truth
I just ordered my dad a new car and looked it over for 30 minutes before taking delivery. It had flaws that would require paint work so I walked. Dealer immediately put a higher spec car at a steeper discount in front of me.
I did the same with my own GT4 and accepted the car with radiator stripes after discussion with my trusted Porsche mechanic. However, I do expect Porsche to make things right.
We earn these cars. Porsche doesn't gift them to us. We should always have final say.

Did anyone get their radiator streaks fixed or replaced? I took delivery of my GT4 on 8/19 and mine has streaks. I haven't called the service department about it yet, but I did tell my SA when I took delivery.
