Adding my car to the thread of Gentian Blue cars. I tried to make my “Porsche” logo letters to be as close to the highlight color of Gentian Blue as I could.

finaly got some time today to start prepping mine. Picked it up from dealer before Christmas but have t had time to get it right before really drive it. Only 150 miles so far but today:
1. Foaming high ph surface prep
2. Wash
3. Synthetic mit
4. Iron remover
5. Wash
6. Minor corrections where needed: orbital
7. Polish with finishing cream soft pad
8: high ph prep again
9: wash
next will be 3 coats of ceramic and some selective PPF film on rear quarters
Got to say at first I was not excited about Gentian blue. Given its a GT car I wanted something more blue / loud. Like México or Rivera blue. My 991.2 GTS was sapphire and Even wanted it more. More I see it and deal with it in different light I’m loving it more and more. Wish Auidi color wasn’t same but very happy I stuck with Gentian blue now! Ceramic should only help glassy pop look

You appear to know your way around automotive paint correction and care. Would you say Gentian is as bad as black for maintenance?

No. Not at all. I think no metallic black is richest color you can get. But that comes with as you are inferring the hardest maintenance / up keep. I love plain black but it is a lot. Wife car is metallic black only 1 year old and I had to correct it. Gentian blue isn’t that hard but there were some water spots straight off boat plus some scratches needing fixing but no where near black level.
Darker color more work but gentian blue closer to good red than black. Black stands by itself. The blue plus metallic gives it little easier

Yup, it arrived in Halifax on Dec 4th and literally arrived this morning Jan 5th. Guess it was the luck of unloading as someone else car came on the same boat and it arrived in Vancouver on Dec 15.

Makes sense, probably use the same trucks on round trips, if you don't make the first batch adds a full round trip to timing and that is a long *** way to truck it.
