There have been many reports of strange noise from the engine, it there then its not, cold or warm they are not mechanically quiet, mine makes some strange noises still, even a new one from about 1 week ago... if they come and go or don't sound like the engine is about to explode then I ignore them as best I can, if I am really worried and if it is constant I go bug my tech at the dealer.

Just going to throw it out there and then duck and cover, I was there with you about break-in, IMHO absolutely no harm in taking it easy until you complete it. There will be plenty of opportunity to work her hard when the time is right.

The engine noise is very nonlinear. Cold or at very low rpm it makes odd noises. In the low mid range under 4K it sounds differently from 4-6K. It's very deep accelerating above 3500 or so. That sounds absolutely fantastic. Cruising under light load it's pretty whiney. And all the time, it is very loud.

LOL! Don't worry Tom I am sure that soon you will hear the same things, respectfully, it is not like a tight small displacement Japanese built engine the barely sounds like it is running, oh no these 4.0l sound like no other that I have ever owned!

Sorry for even more off topic conversation, but the bolded comment snagged me, I hear this too and like it, but to some I'll bet they call this 'engine drone'...

At the risk of being that guy, let me suggest that your every breath is "so blessed".
As are mine and the denizens of this board. Look at why we're here.
That's a beautiful spec, I hope you love it.

My twin! Are you planning to tint the windows? Was going to have mine done during the PPF install but decided that I like the visibility with no tint. Still may have it done but we’ll see.

Amen, to all of us being blessed. We have been given the chance to be forever in heaven...are there cars there? Porsches are wonderful and it's certainly worthwhile to help provide jobs for the Germans who make them and the employees of our dealers but cars shouldn't be at the center of our lives.

God bless,
TT

Looks great, inside and out. The 911 on the lift behind your new one, in the first picture, reminds me of my first Porsche, purchased new in the early 1970s. Great car, until it completely rusted out.

God bless,
TT
